I wonder how many soldiers developed mental health conditions after serving in Campbell's war in Iraq.

Hard as it can be to believe for someone who has mental health issues but I survived depression. I struggled with it for 9 years, and I today live day-by-day without it being in anyway a part of my life. I haven't just found a way to coup with symptoms or a way of persisting through it, it's completely gone and I don't feel depressed anymore.

Whats more obnoxious ! To think anyone cares about Campbell or the fact interviewers give him air time.

Since the Iraq War I've never met anyone, not one person who agreed with it- and ive asked quite a few. I'm sure Campbell has supporters, but using reason and logic it probably derives from people who were too young to recall that whole period. It's frankly staggering that he's getting interviews, stunning in my view.

They do exist. Supporters of the current Iraqi government for example. Many people in Iran since Saddam had attacked their country and massacred their people ect.

To all the wankers making light of mental illness, you should be ashamed of yourselves. Also for everyone calling AC’s mental torment, karma for the Iraq war, he had a full on breakdown in his twenties when he was a journalist and was arrested for his safety and hospitalised far before he had anything to do with politics.

Well, guilt at being complicit in an illegal war and protecting a liar after the David Kelly debacle _would_ have the tendency to trigger anxiety, depression, and a range of other mental disorders. Not so depressed so as to not be in a fit state to record it all and then sell it as part of the self-therapy, though, so let's be thankful for that. So, thanks, Alistair. Seriously. It's an absolute blessing we have your book to turn to should we ever be embroiled in a similarly high-level conspiracy...and get found out.

@Praxis Alba What is a scam is the EU that nobody consented to, ever more power grabbing, more powers taking, more taxes introducing, none of which with any mandate or legitimacy. So go crying somewhere else, nobody cares about your EU propaganda.
@e3498-v7l
@e3498-v7l 4 жыл бұрын
@Praxis Alba Ah yes, the typical EU propaganda and lies about sovereign nations ruled by Brussels eurocrats, the veto that got so limited by the Lisbon Treaty that it ceased to exist for most things, the artificially propped-up numbers of passed legislation (hint: the commission only gives things to vote when they are expected to pass) and so on. Keep on lying and repeating the propaganda. It stopped working years ago in case you haven't noticed.

The Iraq war resulted in tens of thousands of casualties- and it was, as we all subsequently learned, a pointless war with no w.m.d's found at all. One would have thought, based on logic that THOSE facts probably contributed to masses getting depressed (understatement).

I've actually been fortunate enough to speak to Alistair Cambell in person on this, amongst other things, and its important to understand his role in this. He was and is the media guy -- he was responsible for marketing and selling New Labour. His input on decision making was informing the leadership to the extent to which he could spin it. How is he a war criminal? It was not his job to know whether the Iraq war was justified or not.

@@alexboston343 So (because his job was media man only) are you saying Campbell should've NOT spoke out against the war if he allegedly believed that it was unjust at the time? - how do you square that with his non stop projection of 'integrity'? He's a man of values, authority and integrity after all....
