I had a K100RS for a year and apart from a few niggles with the starter button (known to fail) it was a rocket. BMW's GPZ900R in my book. If you get a chance try a K75 triple, It'll pull two up with luggage from 30mph in fifth.

I bloody hate the A27 too. East of Lancing, through to West of Chichester, you can pretty much always guarantee at least one good snarl up. Couldn't see 'owt wrong with either set of the Missus's jeans 👍 Another enjoyable video to toddle along with you on 😎

I toured central Europe in 2022 in my UK car: Denmark, Germany, NE France. You'll need an air emissions certificate for France but not Germany. The small Dutch town of Meppel was a lovely overnight stop before the Autobahn. But use cash in Holland. My Visa CC wasn't accepted. Only Dutch cards. Obviously driving through Germany avoids French road tolls. Vignettes required to use Austrian and Swiss motorways. At German laybys you'll see people performing all sorts of yoga exercises to get the blood flowing again. Best place I found for light road traffic is a north to south run along the west coast of Ireland, County Kerry up to Donegal and into County Antrim, NI. Great scenery and great pubs. Take care.

REspect, you weren't by any chance a Sapper in Hameln were you 🤔, I'm ex RE here in Nienburg. I had an '86 K100 LT for about 10years travelling countless times from Nienburg to Edinburgh, Chepstow and back to Germany, never ever a problem with it. They were the first bikes ever to have ABS. I then upgraded to the '96 K1100LT which I rode for the next ten years, again no problems. Both bikes were sold for more than I paid for them 😊 At 73 I decided to get a 50Kg 'lighter' bike so now have a '93 Triumph Tiger 885 with carbs and no electronic gadgetry ( no ABS either), giving it Touratech mods for a mega tour next year. Ride Safe🤗

Damn son you are wrong in the head! It's not a FULL English without tom's! I do like the Beemer but I have to admit I prefered the Kwakka Z series, Honda 400-4 and the GS 550, we had propper bikes back then!
