LCD Display Repair - Basic Fix (4K)

If you live in humid regions, you might find LCD screens turn dark. This is often caused by the reflective layer on the back of the screen going bad. This first level fix is to back up the reflective layer with shiny aluminum foil or glossy white paper. (If that does not work, there's a more advanced fix.)

Exactly what I needed. My ti calculator was useless because of same problem

There is a more advanced fix where you peel off the old reflective layer, but it's easy to make a mistake and ruin the display forever. I'm afraid to make a video on that technique.

@@tsbrownie I would be too... Maybe lapping paste to make it go away would be easier

@@SurajGrewal The ones I've seen are stickers, but they are stuck on real well and it is easy to damage the display trying to remove it.
