Most Asian teams are just named after a company. JDG (Jingdong Gaming) is named after an e-commerce company sort of like Shopify (it's kind of more like a team being called Amazon Gaming but you get the point). T1 was originally SK Telecom T1, the equivalent of an American team being called AT&T T1.
