I've decided to set a goal of listening to this hymn every morning..I definitely need to hear the words resonate within me! I'm going back to the temple again after 10 years of absence and not so good days and I need all the help I can get! Thank you tabernacle choir and my savior most of all!! I love you!!❤

What a beautiful "battle hymn"!!! I'm so inspired by it that I cannot get enough!! In the stress of this election, the message here is relevant for all! "But an unseen power will aid me and you, in the glorious cause of truth!"

KristinRenauld I have been singing it all day in relation to the political nastiness. it really does bring tears to my eyes to know that "if we do what's right, we have no need to fear.

I heard this song in my head this morning. I was impressed to hear it. This rendition has struck a cord with my heart. Going out into the world today I must have needed the whole armor of God about me. The day is early, yet I will not fear, "for an unseen power will aid me and you, in the mighty cause of truth." We sang this same version today in our Stake Conference, and it sounded just like them. Well, except for there were less of us, and it was in a chapel, so it made it similar with the volume. Elder Alan C. Batt was the visiting authority. He loved it.

Look at how Jesus forgave his enemies….we need to forgive ours too. Then do what we are able to do for him and pray for and do good to our earthly brothers and sisters….even those who despitefully use us, and persecute us.

Every knee shall bow down to the God of Israel!! Jesus Christ!! And every tongue confess that he is the Christ!! Makes me cry that he will finally get the credit he deserves from every soul for the unfathomable sacrifice he made for us. Because of him, we are saved, but we must repent!!

If you get discouraged, turn to Christ!! Do not worry, you will be saved and find joy if you press on in noble endeavors, towards becoming as he wants you to become…like him. Like he was and is. Loving and kind, righteous and good to others….and he says we need to be good to ourselves, we are our first responsibility. Lift up your hearts and rejoice, for he will never forsake you. If he feels you need it, he may withhold his answers to your questions for a time, but only if it is for your good, and if so, he will come through with those answers in the time that is best for you. He has said that when we ask, we will receive, that he stands at the door and knocks for us to open, and accept him as our Savior. And he also said that he is bound to bless us with the blessing for each commandment that we live, and we need to keep trying to live each one….let us all press on for the prize of eternal life and joy with Him and the Father. So we never need to fear, because no blessing will be denied us as we live the teaching upon which that blessing is predicated.

@churchofjesuschristgeneralconf11 ай бұрын
Hi Karisa, thanks for your question. You can search for available arrangements of this song and other songs in the Church's Music Library: www.churchofjesuschrist.org/music/library?lang=eng We hope that helps!
Let Us All Press On is a fun hymn. It is not the stuff of quality choral music. But it's a fun hymn and I enjoy having a bit of a laugh and singing it with a bit of gusto. This arrangement has sucked out all its character and attempted to make it something serious. It just doesn't work. The MoTab really need to find someone who can arrange stuff better than this. When I listen to the MoTab they often embark on a chord progression that seems to be leading somewhere but just before they get to the point of being interesting and giving me that tingle factor, they pull back and return to their bland roots. Having said that, they do bland music really well for an amateur choir.
