Your camera work was excellent. Other coverages I have seen so far have focused mainly on the contestants and don't necessarily give a perspective of the targets. Somehow you captured it and I can really see what the targets were. 👍

So cool seeing how far you (and bloke) have come from the first Brutality match. Nice to see Pascal decked out in Alpenflage. Looking forward to the next one, and one after, and the one after that ... etc !

Very good run sir. Guns and gear not withstanding, a great improvement over the last brutality match. Thank you for the video, and your friends for the filming.

12kg webbing + 5kg rifle + probably another 4-5kg in clothing/boots. And 12kg in webbing feels far heavier than 12kg in a plate carrier / shooter's belt... Plus I'd been driving a desk and not running!

Well done, Chap. Here's a random thought: People run matches with bolt actions. It would be *extremely* entertaining to see some crazy chap try to run with muzzleloaders! No way to finish any of the stages, but would be very interesting to see all that loading action in a very stressful and demanding environment. Do we know *any* such crazy *chaps* ?

Probably won’t be breacher as they don’t tend to repeat the extra challenges but I’m up for whatever challenges they have for armoured division next year.

Well done! Little thought for next time (as you said you are going to try the tst division again) During my conscript time long ago, we carried our issued knife (Glock FM78) upside down on the left sholderstrap of the webbing. Stayed in at all times no matter what we did. (the webbing had a loop, the sheath fit through and we just put a loop of of strong 4mm elastic string around the sheath, over the webbingloop and underneath the "snap" of the sheath and so secured it in place) So maybe it would be advantageous to wear the knife you have a little different (like on the front plate carrier, maybe horizontal or even upside down on the shoulder like we did. Or maybe in general, get yourself something like the FM78 just for the brutality matches as it is locked into the sheath very secure. It doesn't seem like you need to cut a lot with the knife during the matches, so it doesn't really matter if it stays sharp for long, or if it is a good cutter. (But judging by the sheath at 28:31 it looks like you have a custom kydex sheath for a Jäkaripuuko which suggests that you probably would be probably more inclined towards the different mounting... I have a Jäkaripuuko myself, so i understand anyone who likes it)

If you take that holster to another event with a good likelihood of moon dust, I strongly suggest degreasing it before hand. Very good run.
@thebotrchap
@thebotrchap Жыл бұрын
Thanks! The mechanism is unfortunately a sealed unit but drowning it in degreasing solution and then blasting it with compressed air might do it.

I noticed you shoot your pistol left handed and your rifle, right handed. Are you left eye dominant? If so, how does that affect your rifle shooting through an optic?
@thebotrchap
@thebotrchap Жыл бұрын
No eye preference. Just learnt to shoot rifle as a righty ‘cos there were no lefty rifles to be hand and I couldn’t be bothered to do the gymnastics required to run a rightie rifle as a leftie since I was starting from scratch.
