Sairam71, we are delighted that you enjoyed the video. The cards on the table can be a bit small and difficult to see so we zoom them up to try to make the game easier to follow!

Hi. Nice gameplay! I'd like to point out a mistake made at 28:33. The requirement to build the Bank is a steel and not an iron as it was used.

Hi Douglas. Thanks a lot for letting us know about that mistake. I have made a note in the Klingon subtitles! Cheers!

I thought she was miles ahead of you for a long time, but your end shipping worked nicely.
@AllAboardBoardgames3 жыл бұрын
Hi Scott! Yeah, you can quickly turn the game around at the end if you have a lot of steel and enough shipping space to sell it. That earns a lot of money. Thanks for the comment!

Where does this rank with Uwe Rosenberg games with yourselves? Caverna is my favourite, but I have only played Le Havre once so a repeat play is needed 😁. Plus what are the dark side boards you use to hold your resources? Are they from a board game?
@AllAboardBoardgames3 жыл бұрын
I really enjoy Le Havre, but I would have to say that it ranks after Caverna, A Feast for Odin and Agricola for me. My favourite is probably Agricola with the Farmers of the Moor expansion. But Le Havre is still a great game which is a testament to Uwe's skills as a designer! Even though he made such a great game, he still has others that are better!

I just bought the game and have played two 2-player games. My main problem with the game is that there is a bunch of special buildings (especially when you count the expansion) but only four of them come into play in a 2-player game. Why? If there were more special buildings in the game, it would create more interesting food or point strategies. Or am I wrong? It`s just that the game feels pretty repetitive. What are your thoughts on this issue?
@AllAboardBoardgames3 жыл бұрын
Hi 99Vellots! I also find it a bit strange that there are so many special buildings but yet only four of them come into play. I guess that the point of the special buildings is just to change things up a little bit, but they are not meant to distract you from the main game. Still it does seem a bit of a waste - as you say, if there were more of them coming out in each game, it could change things up more and lead to different strategies. One of the things I like about Le Havre is that more or less all of the information is there in front of you - you know what buildings (apart from the special buildings) are going to be coming out and it is up to you to figure out how to make the most of that information. The fact that the buildings come out in a different order each time and the randomisation of the goods in the harbour at the start do add to the replay value of the game. However, strategy-wise the game can get a bit repetitive, especially as it is hard to win without generating a lot of coke and steel.

You cannot take loans for visiting buildings.

Hi Roitzschen. That is true. Did we do this? If you let us know a timecode, I can make a note in the Klingon subtitles. Thank you!
