Thanks for this series. I must be the only person having a hard time figuring out the rule book. These videos really help.

One mistake, but linguistic rather than anything to do with the game itself - Pont de Normandie translates as Normandy Bridge, not Normandy Point. Just thought it might help thematically... :-)

One expansion would make this game a must buy.

I agree with Rahdo's perception of the game and other viewers comments. This game is very well designed, has wonderful components and if played in not such a frequent manner, its still enjoyable. But those initial rounds do seem redundant after a while. I do believe that its an easy fix for a great designer like Uwe. I mean an expansion with additional buildings or adjusted rules would improve its replayability. I own both le havre inland port and agricola all creatures big and small and would way way more often pick the latter one for gaming than this. I wish something would be released so that it be played more often.

Was the first thing i tought when i saw your runtrough, i hope there are more buildings besides the ones you used in the game. Clearly there aren't, they could have included alot more buildings so you draw a certain tiles for the current game.

This is one game that screams for an expansion.........200+ buildings to mix and match for replayability would fix that limited feeling of the first few turns.

Seems strange not to have some variable buildings. You’d think there would be something similar to the special buildings of the original game.

yeah, its almost like they figured "we'll add that in an expansion" and there there was no expansion :(

Chesterton wrote about how restricted canvas is the most wonderful thing - check him out, his essays are superb, very funny with brutal logic.

I bought this game, read the rules and thought, huh, there is literally no variety in setup... This turned me off rather quickly. This is an open information game, very much like Chess and while this may appeal to some, it does not to me. Thanks for confirming my initial fears! Now I can get rid of it. :-)
