That opening segment is amazing, 90 seconds of comedic genius without practically doing anything. Craig, you're so international!

There should be a show with Craig, Kristen, and Jean having dinner and discussing whatever, it could be like a half hour and air once a week, I would never miss an episode.

That French spin-off was a blatant knock-off of Craig's Show, instead of being cynical Craig embraced it. Hat's off to Craig

The shoe segment was actually really interesting. It was so good that he didn’t just fall into the trope of ‘man bored in shoe shop / thinks it’s silly’ while still being funny. He was genuinely interested in it without seeming pandering or apathetic towards it. He just is confidence.

Actually I love this segment. CBS really appreciate the benefit Craig brought to the show. You don't see David Letterman, Conan, Jimmy Fallon and Kimmel do a show oversea, but Craig did. I think he still owns a spot in CBS business plan

It's so embarrassing they did that. Unbelievable. It's more offensive to me censoring them than if they showed it. I mean who are they censoring this for? People used to censor because people would be offended or shocked... but that's just not the case anymore.
@thedoctor2099 Жыл бұрын
@@Krystalmyth as crazy as it seems that's how it was, at least on broadcast American television. You could likely get away with more on cable at the time but since this aired on CBS I'd assume they had different broadcasting rules, as highlighted by the constant taunting of the censors.

That Moulin Rouge bit is only something Craig (and Conan) could do. Imagine Kimmel, Fallon, Letterman, Leno or Cordon in that position. Their comedy is too limited for such goofy behaviour and they also take themselves a lot more serious. Craig was the best late night host in terms of complete lack of desire of making an actual standard late night show. He deconstructed the crap out of it. While Conan is imo the most perfect late night host in terms of perfecting the format. One tore the format down and the other one perfected it. In between you got unfunny guys like Fallon and Kimmel that just go along with the motions and add nothing special to it. Fallon needs games because of a lack of material. Kimmel is just boring as hell. While a Cordon is unfunny. I'm seriously also impressed how an unfunny guy like Fallon made it to being Leno's successor.
