+Admiral Usually shws don't pay attention to backstories, to make it 'more entertaining.' I'm pretty sure that short clips on "Ridiculousness" and other channels and tv shows, have a ton of dark backstories or ended in very painful surgeries or deaths, but people feel more comfortable laughing if they don't know. I have conflicting feelings about that though, because sometimes it hurts the individual to be ridiculed on tv or internet. Especially if they didn't give permission for the video to be taken and ended up being shamed online.
