In Canberra, Australia, the Australian War Memorial hosts a massive gathering for an ANZAC Day Dawn Service (where those lost in war are commemorated). This hymn is often sung at that service, with a host of thousands joining in this timeless, meaningful piece! I really think that the more voices joined in this song, the more this hymn gains in grandeur and impact. This rendition is amazing, to a great hymn.

SV Redemption - Thank you so much for the feedback and input on the hymns being sung at various events . By the way it was among the favourite hymns of Mahatma Gandhi 9 the Father of Nation [India ] ). In 2020 in the midst of the Pandemic we did this hymn as a prayer hymn for the Nation under " Sing for India" ( playlist ) when we had it sung in 24 languages of Indian states by 24 groups from each of the states. Do watch this and other hymns by groups and 250 voice Mass Choir on the Channel. Classic Hymns Chennai India

1. Lead, kindly Light, amid th’encircling gloom; Lead thou me on! The night is dark, and I am far from home; Lead thou me on! Keep thou my feet; I do not ask to see The distant scene-one step enough for me. 2. I was not ever thus, nor pray’d that thou Shouldst lead me on. I loved to choose and see my path; but now, Lead thou me on! I loved the garish day, and, spite of fears, Pride ruled my will. Remember not past years. 3. So long thy pow’r hath blest me, sure it still Will lead me on O’er moor and fen, o’er crag and torrent, till The night is gone. And with the morn those angel faces smile, Which I have loved long since, and lost awhile!

Exodus 13 21. And the LORD went before them by day in a pillar of a cloud, to lead them the way; and by night in a pillar of fire, to give them light; to go by day and night: 21. 22. He took not away the pillar of the cloud by day, nor the pillar of fire by night, from before the people. 22.

It is not right to judge Mahatma Gandhi. Non of us know his relationship with God directly. However, he did not see Christ in Christians. We need to judge ourselves first before we judge others. 🙏🙏🙏🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳
