Leaf Green: No Pokemon Center Challenge | PART 1

This is a highlights edit of my challenge run, hope you guys enjoy!
[Challenge Rules]
-No Pokemon Centers (this includes computer usage)
-Computers outside of Pokemon Centers can be used
-Healing points outside of Pokemon Centers (Mom, Lavender Town Tower, Silph. Co) can be used one time each.
-All items including healing items, revives, etc. as well as PokeMarts can be used.
-If I black/white out I fail the challenge.

You may already know this, but you can get 2 Leppa berries on Route 8 whenever you get there to help restore PP. Also, for whatever reason, I looked it up and I'm getting mixed answers as to whether or not you can get Leppas from the Pickup ability that you can get from a Meowth. Anyways, good luck on the challenge, and I hope this info helps you!

+ScykohPlays From personal experience (and what I can look up) you can not get leppa berries from pickup FR/LG. Oran berries are very common from the ability though.

This series is cool so far! I'm looking forward to more. Also, wouldn't it be better to ditch Withdraw before Tail Whip? You could use Tail Whip so that you can kill Pokemon with less uses of Tackle.

Scykoh, you should play Pokemon Mega Power on the future. It's a romhack of Pokemon Emerald where you play as a Professor. I don't want to spoil it, but it contains Pokemon up to the current Gen, and even includes Mega Evolution!

I've only ever heard the "hold b to make them stay in the ball" thing one other time. I've always mashed A as rapidly as possible. I know it doesn't do anything but it makes me feel better

it seems almost impossible to complete due to such low pp. don't "non poke center challenges" allow healing only to restore pp? you can use them to restore pp, but you have to have healed your pokemon up first to full health using items

Just go to a Pokemon center and put your Pokemon in the PC and then take it out

People speedrun pokemon games all the time and usually there is no use of PC in the entire game cause it takes too much time. So beating it like that is actually not such a big deal

I think so, he seemed to put a lot of emphasis on not running out of PP, which could always be solved by dying otherwise. So either you're correct, or Scykoh is just weird

+MiaJoy Daorerk Technically dying wouldn't used a Pokemon Center, I haven't 100% decided if blacking out = challenge failed yet. I do have a rule that I can only use mom once, so maybe dying once would count as my mom use. At this point I'm playing as if blacking out is losing though

Scykoh, I really liked the editing in this video, but it seems "too edited". This felt a bit like a main channel video the way you edited it, I was kind of expecting less cuts and the gameplay to be more drawn out rather than just highlights. But that's just my own opinion. Hopefully it makes sense where I'm coming from and I will still watch no matter how it's edited.

I remember mentioning something like this challange as a sarcastic remark in one of ProJared's nuzlockes, and got at least five people telling me it's something impossible to do, partly in that you have to go through a Pokemon Center to get to the Elite Four. I'll gladly see Scykoh proves those random, anonymous people wrong. >:D

I read in an actual Pokemon magazine a few years ago that in all the games until that point at least if you press b right before the poke all explodes it will double your chances of capturing the Pokemon. The only thing is you can't mash the button and the timing is very precise and varies from game to game. Hope this helps someone.
