It is part of the sports entertainment tho. Like I would argue that booing and banters(in its limits ofc) are far better than what Koreans did to Weibo during Finals. The silent and pity claps were so bad it felt like I wasted my time watching the whole event. At least on banters there are stakes for both teams to do better. You have the ability to shut up the audience yourself. You cant do anything if the audience is already silent before the game even starts.
@zMajicz210 ай бұрын
@@EmpyrIsAesir Weibo/T1 fans weren't bantering because they knew there was a massive gap between the two teams, Asian cultures typically also show a lot more respect to opponents. That's what the silence and the "pity" claps were from the T1 fanbase, did you want T1 fans to start laughing and/or taunting the giga-gapped Weibo fans? Some good ol "your teams dogshit get clapped, 3 0, 3 0, 3 0, 3 0!!!" is what you were hoping for in that event? When weaker teams shit talk way better teams you get meme'd on and laughed into oblivion. Look at the all female soccer teams that got clapped by 14yo Boys teams and old timers teams, those women are still being laughed at.
@MaskedDeath_10 ай бұрын
@@EmpyrIsAesir It doesn't have to be part of sports entertainment, though. It's just deeply ingrained in the mentalities of some sports fan groups. You can cheer your team on, get excited for amazing plays, or celebrate when your team wins, and all can be done respectfully, too. Shitting on the opposing team isn't the only way of being loud during a game. And I don't even mind when insults are hurled, in cases where they're well-deserved (e.g. player plays in a way that risks physical harm for others), though it does suck for the kids & families present. I've been to my fair share of sports events, and honestly the difference in the atmosphere is immeasurable between a game where fans clap for the other's team win as a sign of respect, and a game where smooth brains literally boo the opposing players for good performance. In my country, for example, volleyball games tend to have a great atmosphere and are a great experience, but soccer matches often feel like you're stuck in a cage full of apes and feel less enjoyable (even if the game itself is good).

I've felt for a while that KCorp entering LEC is overall a good thing but if you know anything about football you know that ultras (extremist radical fans) usually turn out to be a double-edged sword and mostly toxic and I feel like, at the very least, the most loud part of Kcorp fans are ultras and that clip of them booing Faker, the ultras I mean, is proof of just that. However this is only my opinion and I know that. (Edited to write football instead of soccer).
@mosuke512310 ай бұрын
Hools are not double-edged, they are straight trash. They are just there for violence/provocation. They never achived anything in live and try to be proud by proxy when their teams wins etc. Btw remember the Euro 1998 when hools beat a policeman to a pulp?

honestly that mistranslation is so wildly off it should be considered slander. I'm not a fan of Faker but I respect that he's good at the game and humble about it, and from what I've seen, it's what his fans love about him. So for the translator to tell those fans that he's bragging about his skill and complimenting the stage for being great to crush other teams on, when he's really telling them how much he appreciates his fans and wants to bring them joy. That's going to look really bad for any fans that don't speak Korean.

As a German, its not surprising that this happen because lots of Germans take Sport really serious over here, if not too serious. the Booing (how sadly it is) is really really mild compared to what German Sportfans are capable of. Its not rare to have Police on alert and waiting on Trainstations and such when Soccer games are happening between two Clubs, where the Fans cannot stand each other at all, to prevent fans from clashing and start to beat the ever living crap out of each other. not saying that all Fans were German in that Croud, but since it was Hosted in Berlin, i bet the majority was through. The best thing you can do is just pretent they dont exist cuz theyre not true Fans, theyre pretty much close to being Hooligans that are upset because their favorite Team didn't Win by a mile. that unsportsman like behavior doesn't have a place neither in normal and or E-Sport.

Just to credit the booing from a French view. The "boo" stuff was very short and fastly stopped by other fans. It was a sort of a small portion of fans, although it was not confirmed; that did that and represents very little how Karmine Corp is with the core of their fans. When spotted, those fans are put out of the circle of fans quickly. Please do not make a generalization of a small portion of the community doing stuff they usually does for other stuff also (football for example).
