Hi there! I really appreciate your content! I am wondering why in 8:45 it did work that 1 is close enough to 2, I´d usually say they are not (as the order of magnitude is not thaaaaat tiny) but in this context of logarithms WHY does it work? Thanks!

Thanks for watching and asking! I suggest memorizing the “-log” values of a few key coefficients for the MCAT. Adding a coefficient of 3 in front of the power of 10 only decreases the value of the -log by about 0.5. In this case, the coefficient of 2 would change our answer by even less than that.
