Generally only if it’s useable though, everyone likes an executive toilet

Bonus points if you get the permission in the form of a slight nod from your boss to angle grind the 20 years old padlock off

This is something I like thinking about big buildings, either residential / commercial or public (like school) buildings. There will ALWAYS be a forgotten place inside. Like even in the apartments building where I live, at the garage level, just below the staircase there is a forgotten toilet that was installed to be used by construction worker when the building was built 40 years ago.

Fun fact: I live in the city of Bergen, Norway. They say about 30% of all water leaks out through the cities system before it even reaches any houses. And we don't need to have a water meter. I pay a fixed amount per year and can use as much water as I want. I have even been wondering if I could make my own little hydro powerstation 🤣 Although I think that would be illegal. There are some rules that say it should be for home use. And you are also supposed to pay extra if you have a big swimming pool.. So I consider my pool medium size.. 😇

Could be worse. I saw a toilet that was leaking for a different reason like that once, but because of the hard water here in Florida there was a crust of limestone built up in the bowl.

We have a broken overpressure valve in a unaccessable part of our crawl space. That thing is spraying the whole floor wet from underneath. And yet there is no way to access it because it’s covered by stone walls and we are not allowed to make a hole in them. It’s just stupid the valve is located there

Urinals at my works were wasting 250000 litres a year.
@richardwillson10110 ай бұрын
To save some money and claim an environmental win in their PR, a company I worked for turned off the flush in our urinals entirely when the toilet room was redecorated, adding "waterless traps"... Within about 3 weeks the smell hit you when you went in, so they added air fresheners to the room and urinals daily. After about two months the stench was unbearable, made your eyes hurt and everything. So they gave in and made them flush twice a day... but by that time, the "piss crystals" had clogged the old pipework so severely that it flooded the whole toilet room at the weekend 😂 A whole new load of pipes were installed and more regular flushes used. But the newly decorated room was damaged, then left like that for years!
