A few weeks back I saw a guy riding a really nice looking scooter outside the Boosted Board offices in San Francisco. I asked him what brand it was and he said it was home grown. I snapped a few photos and on further review... there's a boosted board remote on top.
I think this is a pre-released Boosted scooter.

Great job on this! I'm not a "scooter guy" as I want hands free, but I'd love to see Boosted work on some kind of version of the one wheel!

@@batterybikes have not gotten the opportunity to try one yet. But I think they're around the same quality. I'd just love to see something with 4 wheels and no need for a controller. Hard to hold a camera and controller 😂 I'm no Casey.

Yeah, I'm excited to see the specs/price on announcement day. I don't think Boosted will go nuts on the specs compared to some of the current scooters out there, but better aesthetics and reliability definitely is a big chunk of buying too. Sort out of it, how is the perceived reliability on the Dualtrons or Turbowheels?

Hah no insight here on specs, I just took some photos and then looked at them very closely and then figured it out. The thing I’m most curious about is whether it will just be a hub motor or a geared motor. A geared motor would make it feel more torquey like the boosted board and a gearless hub motor would be better for higher speeds but slower to start. I suspect it will be the same performance as a dual + but maybe a bit more money because there’s just more to it. Maybe $1700?

Well first the scooter on the left in the street that is a SpeedWay Scooter goes about $1,200 very fast and miles, as for the pre-production maybe the top handle bar is a m365 control arm and having boosted remote is a bit weird but possible. As for the bottom part the wheels are PU and hopefully boosted make it Real tires with air than PU, they are great less flats except the ride will be rough since i do not see suspension any where. So real air filled tires be the way to go looks like a homebrew made but promising.

Good catch genius. It seems there are a million electric scooter manufacturers out east right now. Yeah, I think a frankstein m365 could be possible. And not sure if you already saw this... but yeah, Boosted did tease a scooter yesterday on their youtube channel and blog and it appears to be this one.

Personally i've just bought an electric scooter to get to work(and home..) since i work so early, i cannot take a bus. Anyways, it's great. it's easy, and it's the CHEAPEST self-driving (accelerating) mode of transport i could find. Plus, they're small, so you can have them with you everywhere. More competition = slightly lower prices and hopefully some better designs and so on. While i really like my model, there are a few things here and there, i'd love to see changed for the better. I will never get a "boosted board" or similar, since i have the balance of a parkinsons patient on ecstacy. I need some kinda handle, to be in control. Not just for safety, but also because some roads are pretty rough, and the tiny wheels on a skateboard... it's just not possible. a scooter has larger wheels. (mine has 8")

Nice Mikkel. I've just got the boosted board right now but I am big on any small electric vehicle. The amount of electricity that's required for any skateboard, scooter, one wheel, etc is so tiny that they're basically carbon free. For myself I'd be interested in a scooter for night time grocery runs and also just for my girlfriend/friends. Can you link to what you got?

I think it seems super likely it is. I think they'll sell a bunch as long as they keep it under a grand. I'm seeing a lot of people riding purchased scooters downtown instead of doing Rentals so it seems there is at least some demand for it.

Haha yeah I understand. The rental scooters I've rode have been very underwhelming but going to reserve judgement until they come out with something. I love my boosted board but I'm not opposed to something that doesn't require 90% concentration caause of bad roads, etc to ride

I hope it looks nothing like that when it launches ...... That is pretty bad. I would think they are just testing powertrain ideas or that this truly is just a home grown scooter that one or the boosted employees was messing around with and made. There would be no reason to have an electric skateboard remote attached to a scooter as a power train. So this is definitely just something that someone built for the hell of it. However, I could be totally wrong.

I think I undersold it with my cropped grandpa iphone shots. In person it looked really, really good. I think the deck looking unique makes me think it is/will be a real Boosted product and not an employee weekend hack. I think they're just using the remote as a stopgap to test it before they develop proper electronics. However, same, could be wrong on the whole deal.

Also... among the many things I cut out because I sounded awkward when I said it, both the boosted wheels look solid so hopefully it will be dual motor and torquey

@@batterybikes dual motor would be insane... If they did dualtron style. I think they need to come out with something extremely inovational for it to be boosted material. If they just put out the same thing that's already out then it's not going to be special. It has to be something we haven't seen yet and in the scooter game I feel it's been done to almost all degrees. We shall see!
