Masterpiece makes sense cause it has the budget and is exclusively targeted towards collectors but the main lines are also marketed for children so there needs to be a line of complexity they can’t cross even if it has a higher budget as a commander class.

Fake feet but the actual windshield in the chest when that's not even how the animation had it? Paired with terrible shoulders, that god awful head, a vehicle mode so cluttered with hinges it makes 86 Ironhide look seamless, and enough clear plastic to guarantee half the yellow doesn't match and it entirely shatters in half a year. Truly the mark of quality.

It is actually illegal to sell toy guns to kids in a lot of countries. To legally own replica firearms in Australia, you need to have a legitimate gun cabinet, barred windows on the second floor like a gaol, lock them up when not in use, not have children around using them, and have police check your property every six months. Yes, this includes it you want to legally own MP36 in Australia. Hasbro would basically be only selling to America and Asia, cutting off the rest of the world. That's not happening I'm afraid.

The only good thing about the Combiner Wars show was when they reinterpreted Megatron's gun mode into a giant rail-gun that looked like the shit that killed ROTF Devastator. I'm usually not a fan of Gun Megs, but if Megatron's gun mode was some facsimmile of the BFG that barely even mass-shifts then I'm all for it. Megatron is just the kind of mf to turn into a weapon only able to be wielded by primes and titans.

Cybertron Red Alert had the entire front and back of the van mode become the legs, giving him some meaty gams, but Armada had tiny lower legs with huge thighs. Along with entirely different door orientation on the shoulders and the front actually intended to be the chest. Hell the digibash you used her was of Cybertron Red Alert. It didn't even apply Armadas colour scheme.

There are ways for hasbro to have a megatron that transform into a gun - one is they make it similar like siege shockwave, they said it is a submarine but if you just turn it upside down its a gun - two is they make it transform into a cybertronian styled gun but still have some resemblance of his g1 gub - three is they just make accurate to the g1 but has an orange tip on the barrel but can be removed

Here in Australia the original G1 megatron was never sold and neither was the mp (along with many other countries) because of the extremely strict gun laws. Here you need a firearms license just to own gel blasters 2. Those other toy guns are sold by Chinese companies that have no regard for their reputation. Hasbro is one of the biggest toy companies ever and I don’t think selling a very realistic looking pistol would help their reputation. It’s not the same as Nerf which don’t look realistic whatsoever I do agree that a tank megatron has no place in the 86 line. I just hope that the robot mode is so G1 accurate from head to toe, and to come with his gun mode as a weapon accessory to make up for it. Kingdom/Legacy Galvatron was awesome, besides the incorrect shoulders assembly from a few copies. So I wonder how different it will be for this upcoming SS86 figure. -From the Legacy sequel, I'm hyped for a new set of Combiners. The Aerialbots are scheduled to take flight. And Swindle is leading the Combaticons charge of a new Bruticus. Armada Red Alert, RID Skybyte, Animated Wasp, and G1 insecticon Venom are also on my list.

You cant sell realistic toy guns to kids. If Hasbro wants to make a Megatron that turns into a gun it needs to ve vibrantly coloured with giant orange barrel and scope, and I cant help but think you wouldnt want them to do that. Making a G1 Megatron a tank means he can keep his actual colour scheme at the sacrifice of his gun mode, which you can ask yourself which you would rather have, while having it be leader class means they'll actually make a voyager with the same ammount of effort they put into the average Optimus and just charge $20 more for no actual reason. Basically the robot mode will be super cartoon accurate and faithful, he just wont turn into a gun that dkesnt even scale with other figures and you need a separate accessory for anyways. Oh what? That unterupts play because you need to swap out the entire figure for a dinky little accessory? Uh... If you wanted to have megatron turn into a gun and land in Starscreams or Soundwaves hand you would have to do that anyways. Then you would just have a gun mode megatron sitting next to you doing nothing unless you wanted to pretend to rob a 7/11 and get shot dead for it.

Well Megatron isn't exactly a Realistic gun, he's a gun with a whole TON of crap on it to make it look fantastical. Basically exactly as much as any Nerf Gun. I have seen plenty a Black Toy Gun, and I'm not scared of an Orange Tip on the barrel. And if they want to do that, then just make it a Legacy figure. Toy guns are EVERYWHERE, you can buy not just a regular toy gun that does nothing but make bang sounds with an electronic element, but also perfectly realistic looking Airsoft guns, for like 20 bucks.

Not only is it a very real gun, with real additions, but it's a gun that was all over the place in 80's movies. You seem to forget that Nerf doesn't make black or silver guns. Even if it's good, I'm probably gonna refer to the 86 Leader Megatron as "The Liar-tron" if he's a tank because no matter how good the figure is, if the movie showed a gun, and the moral powers prevented him from being a gun now, that's a blatant lie. It's not even about moral guardians whatsoever at that point, if you're gonna label the series as most accurate to the 86 movie designs, then just say you can't do Megatron and release a more Sunbow-driven Tank Megatron design that can get some secondary parts to "86 it up". Be transparent, don't be a liar. Hell, Hasbro could even justify a Tank Megatron by just saying it's the G1-based Tank Megatron of Devastation for Gamer Edition, finally making a figure beyond a 6/10 or just exclusively the TWO games As for the others, I am interested in that Devastator. Cannonball is a pretool of Cybertron Red Alert not Armada. Perhaps Dev Optimus is mislabeled as a deluxe and could be a voyager and be the same sculpt as the upcoming 86 Prime

I remember the widowmaker concept art and I cant help but laugh because why? I understand they're doing concept art but just why. Wjat would she even TF into? I cant help but be reminded of Widowmaker from Overwatch. I just assume Sentinel prime is a completely new character they do this all the time when adapting characters in other media "We're getting a much better version of Devastator than the CW" WOAH WOAH WOAH WOAH You take that back that figure is actually good. Plus that is my first devastator/combiner. For apelinq they did one for Airrazor even though she didn't transform soooo 🙍 I don't like the knight Optimus because he like Bumblebee and other bots are way too humanoid and don't have vehicle parts, also they didn't explain why he looked like a knight before (he had the arm guards before releasing Grimlock so it still doesn't help) I lost hope in a devastation sequel it's been 8 years, I hope im wrong though. 100% agree They should make him a gun if they're going to do 86 Megatron and if they're still concerned they can add an orange tip.

Cannonball is a repaint of cybertron red alert not armada so im thinking the voyager armada red alert will be a different mold. If they can get us a screen accurate megs in bot mode that comes with a megatron gun accessory that starscream can hold i would be ok with it. After all he transforms and shrinks for other decepticons to use. And i think there is a chance the voyager constructicons will all be deluxe size but some with extra bits for the combination as they are all roughly the same size in the show.

@@PerspectiveEnd armada is a taller figure in show and in toy form than cybertron. The vehicle modes are similar looking but one is a scrunched up skids type, cybertron, and one is a full size suv, armada. The colors are the same. I get the confusion but they are different.

I want devastator to scale with the other combiners (him being bigger is stupid fight me) 2. The constructicons are literally deluxe scale in the show so don’t think I need to explain that 3. Look, I'm gonna be completely honest with all of you I prefer megatron as a tank instead of a gun . With that being said If it says studio series 86, then they should commit to Is him Transforming into a gun. They should have Retole the bumblebee megatron and focus on that fan made gun mode. The best thing that could come out from 86 Megatron is that it could be be reused for a devastation megatron but that's only if devastation, optimism is real

I hate this whole “gun or tank” debate for SS86 Megatron. They cannot make and release a realistic looking toy gun without putting an orange cap on it. The best Hasbro can do is make the robot mode super good and accurate, have the tank mode be ok, and give Megatron his gun mode as a weapon.

1 I'm Ok with that, it's not the biggest deal in the world, and at the very least FAAAAAAR less of one then him having the COMPLETELY wrong mode. 2 if I don't want to have an orange cap, then I can just paint it. 3 The shoulder pipe might not even turn into the barrel on this hypothetical figure, so it wouldn't need the orange cap. That part could become internal to the Altmode so it wouldn't be part of what makes it look like a gun.

The Voyager Armada Red Alert might just be the Cannonball repaint, but with his minicon partner right away. Like that powerlink Hot Shot. Also, I´ve heard that Hasbro has filed paperwork for copyrighting "Void Rivals", so Darak and Solila will soon get their own figures. Which will look nice at the feet of your Masterpiece Jetfire/Skyfire.

@@danielmedela8725You're confusing both the Armada and Cybertron version as one, Armada Red Alert came out in 2003 and was only repainted into his Powerlinx colors and as Inferno for the 2007 Movie line. Cybertron Red Alert came out in 2005 and was repainted into Cannonball in 2006, in fact the first universe that introduced Cannonball was Cybertron, FunPub simply took that toy and inserted it into their comic books. Even beyond that you can just compare the two designs and see that they're very different and hard to mistake for one another.

Okay Perspective I think you are great but three things: 1, those realistic toy guns mostly tend to come from cheesy souvenir shops near beaches. I see them nigh everytime I go to OBX. 2. With the rising issues with guns, mainly in America, as Hasbro is American, I think making a toy of a realistic gun is a bit too much. Military machines are played with as the characters, while a gun is played with by the player. 3. For the love of god can we please STOP GATEKEEPING THE GENERATIONS LINE FROM YOUNGER FANS? These toys are just as much made of older fans as they are for kids. Besides, they shouldn't be made for one or the other, they should be made with both in mind. I apologize for getting angry, but I just feel that we as fans should not look down in younger fans just because they dont share our experiences with the characters.

While I would like a true 86 gun Megatron, selling a toy gun in retail that looks like an actual gun is indeed illegal in the US. Check the final ruling from the CPSC from last year. Nothing changed. Ever. 86 megatron isn't 86 megatron if it isn't a gun, might as well shove wfc megs in there and call it a day, I'm sure they've done that before. I think you’re confusing Armada and Cybertron Red Alert. Armada Red Alert does have a different design from Cybertron but similar color schemes. Idk about Flatline but it is also listed as a “Prime” figure (which is funny because I don’t really remember him from Prime. He’s a comics character. But eh) I would like to see a Prima and the other Thirteen done well… please let the Fallen finally be based on the WW design though!

I love how hasbro, a company known for making toy guns, (nerf) doesn't want to do it in the transformers line, where literally every figure comes with a gun. I don't even like it when megatron turns into a gun because A. It completely destroys scaling and B. A gun is so much more lame than a tank.
