Wheeljack lost to hardshell simply because he couldn’t deal or take the damage that bulkhead could, At the same time tho, Bulkhead, Smokescreen and Ratchet couldn’t lay a finger on soundwave, meanwhile Wheeljack only lost to soundwave because he didn’t pull the trigger for like 5 seconds. Bulkhead also wouldn’t have stood a chance against Predaking vonsidering he wouldn’t be able to rely on his usual strategy of hitting harder than his opponent I would put him at the bottom of the tier above where you put him

Wheeljack had no chance against Soundwave. TFP Soundwave stalemated Megatron in fights. (they both were gladiators in the pits of Kaon) That is where the mutual respect comes from.

I wish the show mentioned why Star Saber was broken by Dark Star Saber. After finally getting my hands on Covenant of Primus this year I finally know that it is not because Dark Star Saber is more powerful (which is what I thought for years), but rather that Prima's Star Saber was a in bad shape after war with Unicron and the sheer power of Dark Star Saber took the right hit in some cracks in the blade. So easy to explain that and not ruin Solus Prime's reputation as blacksmith. Also, loved your tier list.

Something to keep in mind is that the "power levels" probably aren't static. Many of the Decepticons pose less and less of a threat the farther the show goes on. My assumption is that the Autobots improved at a faster rate than did the Decepticons. Examples 1. Early on a handful of fodder is all that's needed to give the Autobots a significant challenge most of the time, but later on there can dozens of them and the Autobots aren't even phased. 2. Breakdown is regularly a big problem at first (if I recall correctly, he sometimes took on multiple Autobots), but he seems to lose his edge as time goes on (not that he survives all that long). 3. It's a bit less prevalent with the Insecticons, but still there. Granted a lot of is because the autobots get bigger weapons to deal with them, and that last one on Cybertron still beat Arcee, but often times in the latter end of the show, the Autobots chew through them like they're just bigger fodder enemies that require fancier killer moves.

Fun Tier list. I only have 5 major disagreements. I wouldn’t rank Optimus higher or lower than Megatron. That is a fight that’s just too evenly matched. It could end either way between them. Optimus just had a better day in “One Shall Fall” Dreadwing should be Prime level, only being just a little lower than Optimus & Megatron, for actually giving Optimus a tougher challenge than anyone else could have, besides Megatron & Predaking. I would honestly rank Starscream above Ratchet. Even if Ratchet has the advantage up close, Starscream isn’t the type to fight up close. So he’d keep his distance & shoot him down in most of their encounters. Ratchet on the other hand wouldn’t really be able to land a significant hit on him. I would probably rank Arcee & Arachnid above Bumblebee for being more of a consistent challenge for Breakdown in a 1v1 fight than he was. & controversial, but I think Breakdown should be slightly above Bulkhead. I kind of think that it’s the other way around where it was Bulkhead who would rarely win battles & Breakdown would win the majority of them in fair footing.

No they aren’t Megatron is consistently amped by dark energon throughout the show and Optimus still beat him Megatron needed another buff just so he could overwhelm already weakened prime (dark energon is specifically stated to weaken prime). Megatron was never equal to prime. Optimus consistently held back and never went for the kill except “one shall fall” where he blatantly beat Megatron.

Dark Energon never weakened Optimus in both of his fights with Megatron in season 1. It was only weakening him & Ratchet in s1. Ep. 4 because they were fighting an overwhelming amount of resurrected terrorcons. There are two instances where they both fought in equal footing in season 1: In “one shall fall” where Optimus was the winner, & in “Darkness rising: part 5” where Megatron was the winner. They both have a 50/50 percent chance at beating each other

@@Kyle72396 as I already said they never fought on equal footing. Megatron is consistently amped by dark energon. As for the early s1 fight Optimus was not going for the kill unlike Megatron. Optimus going there to kill Megatron in “one shall fall” and discarding his belief that the conflict can be resolved peacefully was specifically emphasized. Optimus destroyed Megatron and Megatron needed a second amp from the volcano eruption to beat a weakened Optimus. Dark energon does weaken him if you believe the little shard that Megatron threw to awaken those terrarcons was enough to weaken him than surely a whole ass volcano erupting beside him would weaken him even further. Base Prime > base Megatron. Megs is NOT fighting Prime on equal footing without dark energon. Edit: it’s pretty late where I live imma get back to you tomorrow if there’s a response.

It was the overexposure of dark energon coming from the massive numbers of terrorcons that he & Ratchet were fighting. Optimus can still fight one person induced by dark energon & be perfectly fine. The Volcano didn’t weaken Optimus either. He’d have to be closer or more directly exposed to it for it to really drain him. But in his fight with Megs in Ep. 23, he was perfectly fine with no sign of being drained or weakened by dark energon. So both of his fights with Megs was still in fair footing. & Optimus holding back & not going for the kill is also not an excuse. He still fought his best to beat him in both of his fights with Megs in s1. Their fight in Fall of Cybertron is also another example of the two fighting evenly matched. & Megatron wasn’t dosed with Dark Energon in that fight. Their rivalry lasted for many years for a reason. It’s called a rivalry for a reason. It’s because they’re both equals. It’s fine if you can’t respond at the moment. I don’t mind.

Great video although I have some thoughts: 1. The vehicons that fought Arcee and Bee in the first episode may have been sergeants or something which is why they have such a good fight and Bee and Arcee may have still been taking in Cliffjumper’s death which is why they did so poorly 2. Bulkhead was able to take on Dreadwing so he should be on his tier level 3. Wheeljack should be on Soundwave’s level since he technically won their fight until he was attacked form behind with the blaster and Hardshell had some knowledge of wrecker tricks which gave him some prep 4. Starscream with red energon would be above anyone other than Predakjng or Unicron since he could theoretically kill anyone with his missiles who 5. The Dark Star Saber only came out on top because the Star Saber was weakened when Prima used it in the past and it was thousands perhaps millions of years old which wouldn’t have done it any favours, it was just as strong if not stronger when it was repaired (this one is t really a criticism of your video just something I thought I’d mention) Great video though

1. That's possible, but let's be honest, it's just an inconsistency. 2. I mention that in the video. There is a bit of a conflicting issue because Soundwave seems massively superior to Bulkhead and Bulkhead got stomped by Megatron while Dreadwing put up a good fight against Optimus. I almost put Bulkhead in Dreadwing's tier though. I can definitely see why you would put him there. 3. I go over this as well. I do think the line about Hardshell knowing Wheeljack's tricks could be used to argue Wheeljack would have otherwise won, but Wheeljack still lost to Shockwave even with Bulkhead helping him. I could definitely see arguments for him, Bulkhead, and Hardshell all being in the tier above. 4. Yeah, Starscream with red energon would be deadly. Though there is a line from Starscream admitting that using red energon doesn't make him as strong as the apex armor. 5. I did put Optimus with the Starsaber above Megatron with the Dark Starsaber so while what you said is good extra information, I don't think it conflicts with anything I said. Pretty reasonable tier list, but the main issue that a couple bots are highly specialized, so they can be sitting on a completely different tier if under the right circumstances. Take Airachnid for example. When she pinned down Dreadwing with her webs, he was not at all off guard and was going full offensive. Dreadwing is by no means just a lumbering brute, so she can clearly react and use them in a swift and efficient manner. Her getting taken down by Arcee on a consistent basis is because she gets hard countered by speedy cqc specialists who can avoid her webbing and close the distance quickly to where ranged weapons are a non-factor, and even that doesn't happen consistently. Shockwave's another big one. Absolute powerhouse, but his fighting skills are absolutely horrible. Guys like Cliffjumper can give him a hard time if they get close and act swiftly, but give him a wide enough open space and give him good starting distance from any of his enemies, he'll perform well. I think if we're ranking them based on where they're at "consistently", I'd move Airachnid higher and Shockwave lower (but not an entire tier lower for Shockwave). Soundwave is weird to think about because his electric tentacles, the best weapon in his arsenal, is just something just doesn't use when the plot calls for it like with Wheeljack. Instantly KOing Bulkhead is honestly way more impressive than anything a non-doped Megatron has ever done. There is headcannon explanations for it, like maybe Wheeljack's electric whip in his arsenal has made him more used to handling electricity so Soundwave considers it unsuitable for the fight, but that's a bit of a stretch so it's better to mark it up to plot-induced stupidity. Also to be extra nit-picky, Builkhead = Dreadwing.

I also thought about putting Bulkhead on Dreadwing's level, but Dreadwing could give Optimus a fight while Bulkhead was stomped by base Megatron even when he had help. @@weeaboo-warrior For the Bulkhead vs Dreadwing thing: I kinda just chalk it up to Optimus holding back since he did seem keen on turning Dreadwing over to his side in some of their interactions. My default assumption for Optimus in any of his fights (aside from his fights against Megatron) is that he's holding back, since it took an entire mini-arc for him to finally get him determined to unalive Megatron, as you noted in the video. From there he gained a consistent advantage that he seemingly didn't have during their first fight. It definitely could've been portrayed in the show more clearly though since the amount he holds back is kinda arbitrary for the sake of what would make the most visually exciting battle.

One thing I would point out about Nemesis Prime is that Optimus only beat him because Silas was distracted. I still think that Optimus' millions of years of experience should place him above Nemesis, but Nemesis was no slouch Also base Megatron held his own against Predaking, albeit with help from Starscream, but Dark Energon Megatron would absolutely solo that entire tier, except for maybe Galvatron

to be honest i feel like smokescreen should be ranked higher than he is with his elite guard training and the showing of him being able to think on his feet. At first i did feel like he was a bit young and his over confidence got the best of him but also could see the potential as he tended to do unique things. i feel like after he escaped capture he started to take things more seriously. I feel like hes around bees power. I feel like hes a goofier wheeljack when it comes being unorthodox and creative on the battlefield.

Changes: I’d put Optimus(2.0) over Predaking simply because he scales to Galvatron(TFP) who was shown besting Predaking with relative ease. Breakdown belongs just behind or even above Bulkhead as most of their matches wind up ending in draws with Breakdown I believe having won more fights than Bulkhead so I’d place him above. I believe he has beaten Arcee too which should place him above Airachnid but she has beaten him regularly so do with that what you will. Star Saber Optimus & Dark Star Saber Megatron should swap places with their upgraded counterparts as whilst yes Megatron can damage Optimus with the Dark Star Saber it was due to him surprise attacking him. In fact we see Optimus dodge one of the waves before disarming Megatron of the Saber entirely. Skyquake and Dreadwing belong above Soundwave and Shockwave as they were both able to tango with Prime whilst Shockwave lost to Ultra Magnus who lost to Megatron whilst at full strength and Megatron scales to Optimus so the twins can go above Shockwave. Meanwhile Soundwave lost to Wheeljack which would place him at roughly the same level as the Wrecker but he does have Laserbeak to assist him and his arms are extremely durable and essentially serve as shields but Dreadwing and to a greater extent Skyquake are significantly larger than Soundwave meaning they could probably just pick him up and throw him about till his defences weaken to the point they can go in for the kill.

I thought about putting upgraded Optimus above Predaking due to that as well, but both Optimus and Predaking were actually beating Unicron in Megatron's body until Unicron brought out his energy weapons, and right after he did that he beat them both easily. So a fight between upgraded Optimus and Predaking could probably go either way. Breakdown is definitely relative to Bulkhead, but I believe Bulkhead got the better of him more times than not, and Bulkhead has more high end feats like beating Dreading and Hardshell while Breakdown has more anti feats like losing to Airachnid. The star sabers have the power to cut small mountains in half so I don't see how upgraded Optimus and Megatron contend with that. If they can get in close and disarm them, then yeah, they win. Skyquake and Dreadwing are weird. They have really good feats like doing well against Optimus, but then really bad feats like dying to Bee and losing to Bulkhead. I think the twins are physically stronger than Soundwave, but Soundwave has a good chance of beating them due to his electricity attack, laserbeak, and spacebridges. When comparing Shockwave and Dreadwing, Shockwave did way better against Bulkhead, so I think putt him or the twins above the other is fine since they both have arguments for it.

Hardshell should definitely be up a tier. Yeah he lost to Bulkhead in round 1, but we gotta remember how easily he was manhandling Bulkhead quite effortlessly. Bulkhead just got a lucky hit, just like in season 1 he was semi able to push Megatron around because he got the drop on him. That one insecticon threw Megatron with one arm, while Bulk using his full strength and a wrecking ball hit only made Megatron stagger. And sense Hardshell is the strongest insecticon he'd definitely give Megatron even more of a struggle then that one did. So he should at least be commander

I did think Hardshell should be in the commander tier because of that, but Bulkhead also won round 2 even though Hardshell had two insecticons for backup and Bulkhead was weakened by the tox-en. Bulkhead also got the better of Dreadwing, so you could definitely argue Bulkhead fighting at his best could be commander tier as well.

@@weeaboo-warrior Bulkhead being up a tier would also make sense, but another thing is Hardshell definitely wasn't trying very hard in round 2. He knew he was affected, because he was drawing everything out and didn't go in for the kill and even took his focus off of him many times. But then look at him vs Wheeljack, there he's actually a ferocious and efficient fighter, he didn't waste any time and owned Jacky. With that in mind he obviously wasn't trying too hard against Bulkhead given what we saw him like against Wheeljack

Starscream fought megatron in the past back when cybertron wasnt plunged in the war and apparently it was said that the fight was extremely close. If he wasnt as cowardly as he is in the show i genuinely believe he would be in the higher tiers of the verse.

I dont remember what the video was(I do know the channel though,it was made by emperor kumquat) but she said that starscream fought megatron once and said that starscream was very fast and agile. And being able to give megatron a good fight. I think she said it was in a handbook. And yeah know that's taking her statment with a grain of salt but I do belive that's true cause she has a lot of the source material on TFP.

I'd be more scared of Arachnid than any other bot in the show, save perhaps Megatron. Her ability to immobilize her opponent instantly with her web gives her a tremendous advantage. Strong but normal bots like Dreadwing, Bulkhead or Shockwave would stand little chance against her in a 1v1 situation.

Wow this is one of the rare instances i agree with 99% of the list usually theres something dumb or kinda silly thrown in but the logic here is solid and done concisely however the only placement thats bad is Starscream being below Ratchet You can def put him in Warrior class and id argue just below Arachnid or Cliff Jumper tho i can understand putting him in scout, i still disagree with base ratchet since starscreams consistently held his own against Arcee Soundwave with his Relic is also top of commander or Prime Tier IMO Relic infused characters can go higher than their normal selves as evidenced with Starscream and the others but overall great list and Wheeljack ive decided should be above Bulkhead and Harshell likely on par with Dreadwing as well given he has far better performances than Bulkhead and Hardhshell did state he had prep to beat Wheeljack cuz of the fight with Bulkhead

It’s been stated the star saber can cut through planets and turn stars to dust I believe prime and megatron would be able to scale to their sabers due to megatron surviving the collapsed space bridge which has enough energy to manipulate space time so prime and megs would be in the star level ranges when it comes to durability

Arcee literally never got the better of arachnid in fact after a rewatch of the show I was very annoyed at how much she rashly took on arachnid and lost every time. Also arachnid should be far higher up the list due to her ability to control the entire species of cybertronian
