Viking, you still look at the Nio strategy as a checkers game. You have not covered China's move to start battery inspection. What's going happen when they find questionable batteries? The owner will be put in a position to: 1) fix the battery at a higher cost 2) Sell it if they can 3) Wish they bought a Nio or Onvo The investment in Baas will prevail.

I think VW’s partnership with Rivian is a hedge against anti-China legislation concerning Chinese software in cars sold in the US. It is possible that going forward VWs sold in the US will be based on Rivian software and VW cars sold in China based on Chinese developed software. Also it is possible that Rivian and VW will build the Georgia factory together to build future Rivian’s and VW EVs side by side (VW Scout).

Im not a Nio fan (more of huawei car tech fan) but i realize that it is one 9f the top 4 most reliable and advanced tech EV companies in the world probably...their quality is top and this onvo could be a real model Y killer... Interesting, I just read VW is opening up a battery factory here in Canada, coicidentally where I grew up and my Dad worked at Ford until they packed up and left to Mexico i think it was. So i was excited to hear the news of a new plant comming to town, until i heard the government subsidized VW 10 billion to build it there... geez, 10 billion could put every kid through school and you'd have some homegrown automakes in dozen years no doubt, thats a lot of money but I guess VW needs it. If the bank cant give you money, go ask a local poltiican, they got lots of money to hand over. I dunno, I undrstand the need for jobs and tech, but is 10 billion worth a few thousand jobs? You could educate millons with that amount of money that will gaurantee good jobs industry in the future. I wish them luck anyway, my dad worked on a lot of VW's growing up while he worked at Ford. I got in my first car accident in one, ahh memories. Welcome WolksWagen.

According to Belgian media, D'Ieteren, the group that distributes the VW group's cars in Belgium, is interested in the Audi factory in Forest. D'Ieteren would like to use a third of the site to refurbish second-hand cars and then sell them on, which would save around 500 jobs. Interested candidates should submit their plans by Monday.
