HORRIFYING! What happened to the Hippocratic Oath... to "do no harm?" You should watch some of Dr. Jerry Tennant’s videos here on KZbin. One is called "Recharge Your Battery & Heal." He says the same thing you do: that Drs. often do not give out the BEST advice, but what the healthcare industry has deemed to be the standard of care (even if they know it’s ineffective, & better treatment is available). I already suspected this to be true, based upon life experiences, but to hear a Dr. admit this was eye-opening.

Don't quit at 30 days. For my daughter it was closer to 90 days before symptoms started to go away, including a chronic migraine, chronic fatigue, fast heartbeat, nausea, dizziness, chronic pains, brain fog, and breathing problems. 7 western doctors couldn't help her. She stayed in bed, struggled to go to 5th grade for 1 or 2 hours, had a 504 plan that she could come in late, wear ear plugs, sunglasses, sit in a beanbag chair, have extra time. We updated the plan to say "no gluten" to the surprise of nurses who said "your daughter doesn't like school and you like staying home with her" and "you didn't give your sick daughter her medication!" And a neurologist laughed at me when I said "could wheat be causing this?" The doctor's called it "POTS Syndrome" which is incurable and "managed" with drugs and steroids. Weird thing when I tried to give her the drugs my hand kept pulling away because it didn't feel right. I gave it, remembering that school nurse yelling at me and she ended up in emergency with breathing issues. The drug was likely a random guess

I recently quit my job as a cross country truck driver for 2 years. While on the road, I would eat nothing but the trashiest of foods and I LOVED getting italian herbs&cheese footlong from Subways. I would always immediately get bloated after eating. However, I would bring the bloating down with nearly chugging an entire gallon of distilled water. But I developed this rash on my left arm that's been there for a couple of months now. I thought it was a normal fungal infection that i would easily kill with apple cider vinegar like I did with a dozen others. But this particular one doesn't budge with anything I throw at it: Apple cider vinegar, coconut oil, tea tree oil, not even peroxide! I'm guessing at this point it's a rash caused by leaky gut .. so not an external fungal infection. Does distilled water help with leaky gut?

Doc Kan I live in South Africa, (not much help here) I have Aplastic Anemia. This disease stole life totally . My infections I control mostly with Curcumin . So ecstatic to hear this is also a Auto immune disease. Brain fog and inability to concentrate is my main daily struggle daily. I was vegetarian with no improvement , turn to vegan , no improvement. My problem now is can I eat daily grass fed meat- I am constantly hungry, sweet potatoes and pumpkin do not made me feel full. Previously rely on lentils. Last and most important question, is there hope to turn Aplastic around , most information on internet give a very bad prognoses-mostly classify that I am a worst case and ignore, death will follow soon. I want to get ofF Cyclosporin really really. Thanks Gerda

As rdy2run332 said, feeling better is one way to tell, but it may not be the whole pictu because leaky gut is not pass or fail, it's varying degrees of severity. So you may be 30% better or 50% better, but that doesn't mean you are done. This is where test for leaky gut that quantify the severity is helpful to let you know where you stand now and how much more to go. The only thing I haven’t done yet is the fermented foods. But since I cut out all of the ‘bad’ foods, and started eating the foods on the ‘healing list, my eczema is now 95% gone! Basically, it is a Keto diet. It’s been mainly upping my intake of the healthy fats that has made all the difference in my eczema. I tried going grain/gluten free in the past, but it didn’t change my eczema at all. But when I started eating more good fats, that’s when I started healing. I recently found out that taking L-lysine 1000 mg. 2 times a day, made my acne go totally away too! Whoo hoo! I’m on a roll!

I know this vid. is about food that cause Leaky Gut, but there is one biggie that should be mentioned as a prime cause of leaky gut, and that is Candida overgrowth. When it gets into the intestine it turns into its Fungal Form, develops roots/hyphae that bore holes in the intestine that food particle can pass thru. The immune system response is as he described - the head fog etc. This may include ringing in the ears, actually ringing, roaring, humming, & sometimes buzzing. The eyes are difficult to focus, you may be dizzy. The healing from Candida is more than eating the right food, because you may be allergic to them. I looked for a vid. by Dr. Kan on Candida & didn't find one, but then neither did I find his other 58 videos.

@Dr Peter Kan, at around 9:54 you address sugar. So the problem is that it feeds bacteria and yeast leading to a gut infection? Do you think cutting of a the sugar supply would allow the body to clear an infection by iteself or would anti biotics be essential? Edit : every GP / NHS doctor I've spoken to about having a possible gut infection have looked at me like I'm crazy.

Hi Dr. Kan, when you say to avoid having grains, does this include rice? If so, does that mean I can have only vegetables like sweet potato and potato for carbohydrates? I work out a lot and will need some source of carbohydrate. I found your video very informative. Thank you

Thanks@@DrPeterKan. I did some research after watching your video and I did stop all grains and stuck to vegetables. I didn't see much progress and still had the same symptoms. I am thinking of starting a detox and I have an appointment to see a professional. Thanks for your reply, I really appreciate it !

Dr. Kan. You suggest to exclude grains. Do you also speak about millet buckwheat quinoa and amaranth in that case, which are pseudo grains?

What about whey? I read it gets absorbed way faster, it even raises insulin because how fast it is absorbed. I understand about casein, but whey sounds different. What do you feel?❤

All sugar will spike insulin and lead to insulin resistance if consumed in excess. Sugar that is consumed with fiber that is naturally occurring in fruits and vegetables spike insulin less, but can still lead to high blood sugar if consumed in excess. It all depends on the individuals current health, health history, lifestyle, goals, etc.

Not knocking bone broth but I've seen other doctors saying that eating collagen doesn't produce collagen in the body. Can anyone elaborate on this?
