Instruments are not put in a dishwasher but an expensive surgical instrument washer designed specifically for surgical instruments

Working in SPD is an amazing job. Just don’t call our equipment “super size dishwashers.” We aren’t dishwashers, nor do we work in a kitchen.

Fun to see! I started in sterile processing at the U thirty years ago. I’ve worked at 8 other facilities since then, in several states, but always remember my time there as a good one 😊.
