I’ll be back in Decon soon and I haven’t cleaned robotic instruments in a while. Thank you for this excellent video and keep up the great work.

while everything that you said is correct, and according to the ifu's. I've been doing sterile processing for over 12 years and no facility that Worked for, has the time to process da Vinci like this. especially at surgical centers. everything your saying is absolutely correct. but the truth of sterile processing is....most hospitals and surgical center don't do it this way.

I will not disagree with you. Most places that do robotics cut corners because they have not taken into consideration the time it takes to process.

And sadly, I have seen the same. This is why I choose to become an educator and a leader. Under my watch, this is how it's gonna be taught and done. I'll deal with the OR and surgeons

How you doing jeanherv158, congratulations on your achievements, is this profession hard to study? I’m currently working in Behavioral Health and want to transition to central sterile technician.

Where does the compressed air come from for drying? Usually compressors will trap a lot of moisture (bacteria), oil, etc, I'm wondering if you know what your setup is. I'd love to find out Love to see someone doing an excellent job.

Our air is instrument air. It follows the guidelines set forth by the NFPA ANSI/ISA. The compressor room is maintained by facilities.

There are facilities that does it differently. Where I worked at we didnt do it this way. First since we pre rinse and used water gun to flush out and visualize the blood coming out. And check the tips etc. Then take it to where it gets flush primed enzymatic detergent soak etc
@WDYDCSP5 ай бұрын
I used to do it that way too until one day blood splashed right onto my facesheild. I then decided to not flush the ports u til I was under the surface of the water.

Would an automated flushing system be helpful for da Vinci arms? Something like the inside of the irrigator but for flushing detergent through instead of having to use syringes for the flushing stages?

Starting my volunteer 400 hours in the middle of June. I left school years ago. I passed the provisional last year by going over the blue book. Any tips on being a newbie?
