LEAP Event Recap | Constructing Justice: Transforming the Built Environment

This 1-day gathering explored social justice and activist storytelling through the lens of architecture as related to communities most impacted by police brutality and mass incarceration. Featuring pop-up exhibits and an artist talk with architects Deanna Van Buren of Designing Justice + Designing Spaces, Demar Matthews of Offtop Design, and moderated by Kristin Sakoda, Director of the Los Angeles County Department of Arts and Culture.
