Thanks for another great video! I am actually curious about the bind you use in this video (shown nicely around 5:30 or so). I have been trying to figure out how that bind works but haven't been able to replicate it (I notice that Connor uses something similar in some of his video such as Candy Rain). Is that a variation of the third bind you show in the bind video (the bind that isn't really recommended) or something else? It looks very slick :)

J T We will be doing a series of bind videos, hopefully soon, where we will talk about that bind. For now I recommend you try breaking the bind down into different steps to see if you can figure it out. I feel like it is one of those binds that once you can figure out what is going on it will feel really simple.

7 years too late but it's just a typical undermount with a little somersault flare added to it. Learn Guy Wright and some other side mount binds and that one will become apparent. Sadly that was 7 years ago so you probably already gave up on yoyo or figured out the trick and many more tricks.

Wow that was a lot harder to do than it looks. I've gotten a lot f whips pretty easy but that was a pain!! Helps if you have a longer string and no twists. Thanks again for the vids. PS why can't you guys sell the Gradient in the cool splash colors?

Joey B They seem to have not been made available to us. Looking around online it looks like they are made exclusively for a few stores, and so far we are not one of those stores. Since this is our first One Drop branded yoyo that we have sold I am not quite sure how it works to get new splash products from them, and I haven't really looked into it yet.

I've been practicing JUST this trick for one month and I can't really get the last stage down. When I start the laceration, the yoyo always usually goes flying towards my right or the yoyo hits the ground. If none of those happens then I can't get my hand into the trapeze even. I'm very use to the laceration where the slack goes toward your non throw hand not your throw hand.

XrpnX12 Gaming With the Sage you need to squeeze just a little bit to get it to comes loose. Also, you should be using the rounded part of the pliers so that most surface area as possible is touching the bearing.

If you play unresponsive it will, as you will either be using thin lube, or no lube, vs thick lube in the thinner bearing. Also, the gap is wider, so the string touches the sides of the yoyo and response pads less, leading to a longer sleep time. You still need a good, strong throw though.

JafaMangos If you want to start out playing responsive, yes, you are correct, you will want to get Thick Lube as well. Thin lube does not make a yoyo play unresponsive (because a yoyo can play unresponsive without the lube) but it allows it to play unresponsive while protecting the bearing. Without the thin lube an unresponsive bearing will wear out very quickly.
