Thanks, man. Your content moves me to do stuff. The procrastination is real due to the fact that there are abundance of high end specialists, and i feel really "behind". For me, i love 3d printing the models, like miniatures n stuff, but its a narrow niche to get money from. Well, life goes on.

Fortunately I know what I want to be specialized in 3D that is environment and cinematics scenes creations. I doubt that this would create an income for me but at least I enjoy what I'm doing.. or let me say it more frankly, I'm addicted to blender

On the "specialize early" argument, my take is to not. Yes, you should get good at something specific but never narrow yourself from the get go. It may be that the speciality you want is not easy accesible as a junior artist and you may need another way to get your foot in the industry. I have myself as an example. I love making stylized characters but this is an extremely competitive specialty. If I only focused on that I would not have been able to earn money doing 3D as most of my jobs have been in making models for advertising, arch viz or industrial design.

I'm learning 3d now and I dont know what I like yet so cant "specialize". Pixel art,FX, modeling, and now trying sculpt tried all that at a beginner level. Just want to make cool characters and also make their skill atack

Want to few more cents and a bit of different view - it's important to understand _why_ do you want to learn 3D, completionist mentality is quite often stressful and not good at all for your well-being. If you aim is not to start getting income as fast as absolutely possible from 3D modelling - then you might consider slowing down, to _enjoy_ the learning process at the pace comfortable for you. It's not a race it's something that you can enjoy in the process if you will not constantly push yourself to do it faster better and stronger.

Animation and game contents are made in parts, learn matte painting and composting, at least the idea.

learn 3d fast, in 2 years, jajajja I kill that phrase, it's easy to be impressed that you can learn at expert level in 2 weeks, very true but I still laugh lol

Regarding learning one thing at a time - I think this might be either highly personal or simply wrong. It surely depends on what you mean by "one at a time" - how often of a switch between different subjects considered to be _not_ "one at a time"? I think It's close to impossible to completely learn hard surface modelling for ex and only then attempt to learn sculpting. I personally find it really frustrating focusing on one theme for prolonged amounts of time, and In my opinion, having an ability to switch between different subjects to let your brain reset is a positive thing. Also, I do notice quite often that it's much more beneficial to switch to something else instead of trying to brute force something that you stuck on just so you have time to take a breath and after a while see the problem from a different angle (and pretty sure some supporting research exists, but don't quote me on that).
