I'm using compact material editor and I don't understand anything :(

Hi Paula, I'm not really sure why you're using the compact material editor. I mean, I learned using that one, but I soon switched over to slate and it's much easier to understand. You can look at a material and immediately see how it's put together. Slate is a newer method of creating materials.
