नमस्ते। Question please. In example 2, why wouldn’t the sentence be: कल एक छुट्टी या| Thank you, धन्यवाद.

Namaste, You can use the word "एक" but there is no need to as it does not add anythign to the sentence. It is clear from the sentence that we are only talking about 1 day.
