Andrew had a great point about making the" trainer" bike match as close as possible to the" road" bike, however I would do that in the fall before trainer season to avoid knee issues on either

Your planning is great as long as you don’t race cross in the fall or live in an area that winter last into march. Strength training should be year round if you want to continue with the strength you build in the gym!

we talk about how your off season looks if you race CX (it begins in Jan) and No, strength training and your best power output do not mix. You need to do one or the other but not both at the same time if you are a racer. if you are not riding for performance, sure, lift year-round.

How do u train for high altitude coming from sea level. I barely finished Steamboat with breathing problems but no cramps or leg power issue. I know I did it wrong.

Its really hard - best to hire a coach to guide you through everything but we have also podcasted about it a few episodes ago
