I recently saw the vid you made telling how to fan the cards. You explained very clearly and your demonstration makes it look so easy. Maybe I'm clumsier than most, but it was quite frustrating with each attempt. But after the 100th try or so it started working out. It felt like I was doing the exact same thing as the first try, but the spread was smoother and easier. I couldn't begin to explain except to say that the cards must have been learning faster than I was. Anyone experiencing frustration...just keep doing the same thing over and over. Those cards will figure it out eventually. Thank you Jason for all the work you're doing!
@kisike013 ай бұрын
@CrplCon. Just my thinking! I can connect to you 100 p/c. One additional thought from my experience: the fans will work out remarkably better if you are using a new deck after the ,say, 20th attempt.
@CrplCon3 ай бұрын
@@kisike01 Lol you should see them now! They're more like tissue than cards. They make new cards feel amazingly responsive. I'll keep that 20th attempt suggestion in mind, thanks!.

I could never do this, but I love to see how they are done. I'm still left amazed, even more so, after seeing how it is done. Thanks for sharing this!
@BrandenHarvey-zu1wm3 ай бұрын
@@StacemanFPVI used to say I could never do magic tricks because I'm clumsy and awkward. But I started practicing a few. It probably takes me longer to get them down than it takes other people but I started getting them down. I still stumble with the cards sometimes even with the trick that I know. In fact, just today I was showing the trick where you have them hold the deck and you have five cards including their card and the card appears in the deck they're holding. That took me lots and lots of practice. And most of the time I don't stumble on the trick. But today I accidentally fumbled with the card when I was slipping it into the deck. Anyway, my point is that you can do it if you really want to put in the effort to practice. Even if your clumsier or more awkward than other people like I am.

Spread out the deck all out on the table instead of looking trough the cards in your hand, that way you can notice what the last card is and switch to using kings or another substitute for the aces.

@@Zekomaru If you spread the cards out on the table, you will be revealing to the spectators that the chosen card is at the top of the deck. I suppose you could could start fanning the deck with faces towards you to make a quick check of the top card before choosing what card to use for the four.
@Zekomaru11 күн бұрын
@@catsailorbill4950 hmm, good thinking, I guess to prevent that you could cover the last card of the deck with your hand, never lift the hand up over the spread out decks last card.

Really enjoyed this card trick and the tutorial explanation was very well presented. I always struggle with the "pinky break" because I have small hands but I just plough on regardless and use my ring finger. If I start practising this trick now, I'll have it nailed by the end of the year. 🤣Thanks Jason. 👍♠♥♦♣

COOL TRICK THO... tx for the info but .... im a lifelong guitar player... 40+ yrs experience... sitting down with someone who knows almost nothing about guitar it becomes painfully apparent that things i think are "simple" and can be done by a beginner are actually novice to intermediate skill level things... so him showing how "easy" the trick is is really him saying how easy it is for HIM.... dude your a master... and i wasnt even joking about the winding the deck up.... its not just "the trick" its the PERFORMANCE.... but thanx anyways....

What happens if their picked card is an Ace?
@philippkuhnert14513 ай бұрын
i was just about to ask exactly that.. well, then we have to learn another trick i guess.. ^^ or, you use the Kings to "tell you which is your card"
@GonzaloZelinka93 ай бұрын
Use Kings or Queens replacing the aces and that's all
@ftlPhysicsGuy3 ай бұрын
@@GonzaloZelinka9 But you won't know it's an ace until you've gone through looking for the aces and seen the top card. To be completely safe, you could claim that you're going to ask the deck which four cards will help you find their card, look through the deck like you're waiting for the answer, and then when you see the top card, declare that the deck wants you to use the four aces (or kings if the top card is an ace). Just a thought.
@MoiMagnus1er3 ай бұрын
I'd say, just do the trick as usual with a random card instead of the chosen card. Then at the end if the trick, instead of saying "the face up card is the ace, so that must mean that your card was the face down card" say "the face up card is the ace, wait, that's not how that trick is supposed to work, the ace is supposed to be there... unless, by any chance, is your card actually that ace?"
@MsSuper11213 ай бұрын

With the aces when you put there card at the bottom how does it keep getting to the top so you can put it at the bottom again
@scottj4673 ай бұрын
Their card only goes under with the first ace and it does not come to the top. The second time it is another ace that goes under. Practice it and you will see. You can practice with the chosen card upside down so you understand where it is at and how to not reveal it when handling the two aces at the end.
