Do you mean Rufus having a chat with your doorbell + growling when you talk about chord/body movements (plus your brilliant expressions thereafter)? He's a born star :-)

Thank you for sharing! The Kurd is a very versatile scale, but still has limitations, yes! Now, I am lucky enough to have more pans so I can extend my scale chromatically, this opens much more possibility!

THANK YOU! Am I right when I say, that im very limited what I can play with my model? I have a E/G Magic Voyage with an additional E⁵. There are only 3 maj/min chords:( And how do I know how often I have to click +1/-1 on the chord website? There are allways some Chords I cant play;-; Thank you again for helping us with your videos!!!
@AmyNaylorMusic
@AmyNaylorMusic 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, scales like this do limit you, but you can also play parts of chords (two notes, or even one note) as long as those chords aren't ones that happen regularly and for a long time in the piece (then it would sound like it lacks something) In most cases, click the +1/-1 until the first chord matches with your root note (the ding / main chord the pan is built around) and most chords should match. Most songs do have more than 3 chords but there are MANY well known ones that only have 2/3. Campfire songs, mantras, classics like stuff by the Beatles etc.

Hello, can you make a cover of a song using this method. For example i want to buy a Hluru 9 note tongue drum in D minor. But looking through handpanner i see that i don't have Em chord available to me. What i can replace it with?
@AmyNaylorMusic
@AmyNaylorMusic Жыл бұрын
Thanks, yes in this case you would just have to play the E on its own, since you don't have the other notes to make up the chord. Or you can transpose the song to find a way to make it fit

Handpaner is really nice I'm glad i found my 16 notes handpan there. Can someone tell me the difference between green and blue notes ?
@AmyNaylorMusic
@AmyNaylorMusic Жыл бұрын
The notes in blue correspond with the name of the chord. For instance, in an Am, you'll notice the A is blue. This is the "root note", the note that gives it its name

I still don’t get it 😢 I found my chords for the d Kurd (minor chords) on handpaner, transposed on guitar tab, but even playing those chords doesn’t sound like any of the songs. What am I doing wrong? Can you make a more thorough video on how you actually apply it to a single song?
