So glad to hear it's been helping, Emma. The research stage is really about understanding who the target audience is, what the other packaging is like in that niche, what attracts that target audience and then the inspiration is more from an actual design standpoint. Looking for what layouts look good, what colors work, what type of imagery to use, etc. Does that make sense?

Nice vid! At 6:40 what did you mean by outline the text? Stroke? Or a way to make the edges defined?

That was for the PDF presentation. Sometimes clients aren’t able to view the PDF because the fonts get messed up so to be extra sure I like to outline the type 👌🏼

Yes there are great books and once you get a basic understanding of the elements of branding it makes everything click together.

So much helpful content. The process was inspiring and smooth. I was struggling to work with the mouse and now finally going to shift to tablet. Definitely going to buy Wacom intuos pro. Also indesign part looks much easier. I use Ps for presentation and Ai for logos. Edit: forget to mention all the logos look awesome 🙌

My genuine fear is that sites like Fiverr and 99Designs have devalued the logo and branding process so much that it just wont be sustainable to "be a good logo designer" and make a decent living. I guess my question would be is it still possible to make good money on logos and branding?

Your fear is understood but there are so many designers out there charging high prices and making a living doing logos and brand identity like myself. It’s all about two things: skill + business knowledge. And that’s why I have this channel and my whole Consistent Clients Blueprint program. To provide designers with a roadmap to make a good living doing what they really love.
