Thank you so much, Kim! I'm glad you enjoy our videos and have made a bunch of towels. Have you seen our video about how to add kam snaps to your towels so they won't fall on the floor? www.needlepointers.com/main/youtubecontent.aspx?youtubepageid=364

Your video is so simply explained and I love your video. The only part I would like to know is what kind of thread did you use and how the towel looks on the back. Would you please tell me about how you finished the back with the color of thread used and how the towel looks on the back. I am nervous about asking you the questions because I wish for you to make more videos about creative sewing. I love your sewing technique and I can't wait to see you make more videos. I am in the process of making my bathroom towels decorative. I wish I could put a picture on this post to show you what I am working with. I would love to have your guidance on my endeavor of designing my towels. Thank you for posting your video and please keep posting more. Sincerely, Gwen

Hi Gwen! We have MANY, MANY sewing tutorials already and post more regularly. Check out our sewing playlist for more videos: kzbin.info/aero/PLmfp5aNSxEF0csPsxImiN-XfQa7p4kQiz For adding the border on a towel, I used a standard sewing thread with a color that compliments the fabrics. What about the top strip? It's raised up from the fabric. I did stitch in the ditch, but the top has a gap?
@Needlepointers2 ай бұрын
I left mine unstitched at the top. Looking at the towels now, many years later, the strip has flipped down in some places. I still use the towels, but if this bothers you, you may want to stitch along the top of the strip or maybe even use a blanket stitch/quilting applique stitch on your machine to tack it down.

Does the material shrink?
@Needlepointers3 жыл бұрын
The material may shrink but prewashing it before you add it to the towel will minimize this. Be sure to wash it the same way you would wash your towel.

What is stitch in the ditch
@Needlepointers4 жыл бұрын
Stitch in the ditch is a method where your stitches are sewn directly in the seam or placed just beside the seam. We have a video tutorial at kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJLXaoyXe7Skfsk
