@NathanHaynie well Luke I said I was single ignoring women for 8 years, and 5 of those years was developing a friendship with my girl before we decided to be together. I observed her actions for years, even declined her romantically long before she proved to be consistent. My rule of thumb was not to date feminists, divorced women, women that wear makeup, tattoo women, women with children ect. My girl has Cristian values, and is super hot despite not wearing makeup. She drives a 2000 Volvo, has all antique furniture, and isn't high maintenance. She has long hair, dresses modestly like a lady. Ect. Bro we literally watch red pill content and laugh at 304 culture together. She's a video game nerd, so we spend weekends in alot. Haha. I'm just average myself. Literally going bald. I don't bother with cold approach because the odds of success are so low, it doesn't seem worth the time and effort. I am looking for a woman with quite specific qualities, and just going up to random strangers on the street doesn't seem like a very good method. I wish dating apps were better at letting you filter for certain interests and personality types, but that doesn't generate money for them apparently, so they just focus on looks (what a stupid world we live in). I prefer to meet women in a more warm approach type situation, for example common interest groups, like classes or church. Where you at least know you will have something in common from the get go.

I'm not sure if other men will relate to this but I'll tell you my story. I'm pretty fearless with most things in life. I've raced drag bikes and cars, worked on cell towers for many years, shot all kinds of guns, rode wheelies on my motorcycle over 100 mph. I've never been able to approach a woman I was attracted to out in the world. I always met a girl through friends. I see guys make it look easy. Most of them are good looking guys and women seem hypnotized. I mean I think I got a set down there. But I guess they go hide when I see an attractive girl. I'm trying to get the courage up, but I need a 100% its ok look or I won't go there. Maybe I have some deep rooted fear of women for some reason. I haven't really been treated the best by them so maybe its subconscious. One thing I keep seeing is women will look my way but once I see them they look away real quick. I would NOT pay attention at all to the overly visible examples of the "good looking guy who makes it look easy".....these examples are actually the outliers which seem common only because they are obvious on the surface. In truth...it's not easy. It is always a risk! There is always the chance she will say "no"...but what actually is at stake? A stranger's opinion of you?? If you wait for a "100% okay signal" from a woman, well how often has that actually worked? My suggestion is don't worry so much about what something "means" and take an action based on your own desire and decision instead. BUT...yes, if she is looking and quickly looks away when you notice (especially multiple times) then she is giving you an invitation. You could say yes, it's because she's shy or scared...of course she is, because EVERYONE faces these same risks. "OMG will the other person accept meeee???"

Yeah this resonates with me man. While I'm not quite the adrenaline junkie, I was always doing crazy stuff on mountain bikes in my early days, shot all kinds of guns (to the extent you can in Australia...) and today therapy for me is rev matching my old analogue car every day... But while all those hobbies are cool, and I won't ever go back to an automatic, there's something different about approaching a cute woman. Something I've only done less than a dozen times in my life. My first few times were very shaky. I was a bit too excited and didn't have enough experience. Of course, nobody does at first. It's a bit like when I first drove manual and stalled a lot. Or first time using a Glock and jammed it not holding it properly. All this to say, you're in for a decent adrenaline rush my friend, but please don't lose faith if you stall/jam up the approach the first few times, it gets more fun ;)

I had a very lonely upbringing growing up, so much so, that I started to become comfortable being alone. The biggest thing that kept me from going that route was that I wanted children. I do love kids, plus, as an only child it was very important for me personally to carry on the family genetics. Now I will tell you, as a married man with a child, if it wasn't for my son, I would have wished to stay single. I love my wife and my son. However, God is the source of my joy. I could have served as an example of being single for God, as I believe some are called for. Paul in the Scriptures also said it was Ideal to be single as he was. I personally believe those words are speaking very strongly to us today.

What I do is approach like I would a friend, make a joke or comment based on something around you. If you approach in a friendly manner (i.e. without being very forward and sexual) rejection really isn't a big deal cos you haven't given yourself a way, just testing the waters a little, if she likes you, she likes you, if she doesn't that just means she isn't for you or it isn't your time and you can chill.

Yah, I have been rejected on EVERY cold approach that I have done. I'm almost positive it's because of how I look. I am doing whatever I can for that though, I hit the gym 4-5 times a week. Moday - Friday I do 100 pushups, 100 sit ups and 100 lunges per day, and I walk for 10 minutes - 4 hours every day depending on the day. I am also counting my calories. (For reference as to where I am now I weigh 210lbs and have a bodyfat % of roughly 29% with a muscle mass of 80lbs.) I am working my ass off to try and reach less than 15% body fat by mid October as I go on a cruise and want to have a body I am proud of for once when I go because I will be cold approaching women on the ship to try and meet people and see where it goes from there. it's just super immoralizing when for example I'm in the club, I try to talk to a girl, and she within 10-20 seconds shuts down the conversation because she spots a guy that looks better. It's honestly depressing as fuck.

It all depends on her opinion, whether you are called a "creep or a date-able chad. Been there many times and the end result is always the same. Not going to lie. I would totally Cold Approach you Maya, but not just because of your physical appearance. It's because of the depth of your earnestness and insight. ⁠Ah as you are a girl can you give me your opinion on my situation? I asked a girl out for a coffee at my gym I had a crush on from a far but she said sorry she has a boyfriend and now when I see her she deliberately ignores me but I see her occasionally talk to other guys! So I don’t quite get it as I don’t have too much of a problem attracting girls in general and thought I could feel a good vibe and connection with this girl. Before this girl I asked a personal trainer out that works in gym and she said yes but after I met her there wasn’t a lot of attraction and I kept thinking about the other girl. The funny thing is the personal trainer girl still smiles and says hello and asks me how I am! Yet the girl I’m strongly attracted to blanks me can you explain this as a few people have said she probably hasn’t got a boyfriend! I should explain that I am a lot older than her but I am lean and in good physical shape! Anyway would value your female intuition and opinion?
