My boyfriend wanted to get me flowers and I asked him not to because I hare to see them die too soon, I said if you must get me wildflowers. One day I went to his house and he took me around to the barn and surprise! He planted me a wildflower garden! This was 8 years ago and I still love to see them come up each year.

This shawl is just gorgeous. While I simple love all flowers My favorite flower has changed over the years. As a young girl and early adult I loved Carnations. I always loved the tight ruffled petals and that wonderful spicy aroma. As I’ve gotten older the Rose has become my fav. I just love the elegant appearance and beautiful aroma. This year I introduced myself to Zinnias. What a gorgeous flower! I’ve planted them in all my window boxes! They are just so much fun! The summer is flying by way too fast. I love all flowers but my heart belongs to the little daisies dotted about in my lawn. As a child I loved to make daisy chains, I taught my daughter how to make them and now my granddaughters make them. I don't think I've ever seen alpaca and bamboo viscose together in one yarn. That sounds so soft and breathable! I'm a big fan of clover, violets, and any other flowers that can help choke out my awful grass lawn while making the yard colorful and beautiful.

This shawl is so beautiful. I can't wait to make it! Lilacs are my favorite flowers. We had bushes in our yard when I was a child, and I always loved their scent. My college campus has a "Lilac Lane" that's lined on both sides with huge lilac bushes. Walking along it in spring is so heavenly! I also love carnations and sunflowers.

I am in love with English roses. I love the rosettes, the depth of the colours and the heady fragrance. When I get my act together, I will plant some along the front wall of my home so the fragrance sneaks into the living room. I love the airy nature of this pattern and will be using a merino/silk mix in graduating shades of blue when making it. As always, Chandi, thank you for a wonderful pattern.

Lovely airy shawl design. My favorite wildflower is that of the chicory plant. I just love the airy quality of the plant and how the little periwinkle blue blossoms glow in the early morning sunlight. I look forward to seeing these each year.

This shawl is just gorgeous. And this bamboo alpaca blend has an incredible shine to it and looks absolutely luscious! I can't help to want to feel it on my skin. 😍 I love all flowers but a few favourites throughout my life were violets because of how delicate they are and the amazing smell, roses, especially fragrant tea roses and most recently wild bee orchids and pyramidal orchids which I love to spot during my walks in the late spring, early summer season where I live. So lovely, it certainly does remind me of fields of lavender. I have always loved Peace roses from when I was a little girl. My mother had a beautiful rose garden and she loved grandiflora roses, huge sweet drooping petals with gorgeous colors. As a child I was face height with the blooms. One day she called me over and told me to peek inside a Blooming Peace rose’s giant beautiful bloom. That morning it had rained lightly and a thimbleful of rain water had created a tiny pool in the cupped petals. On the edge was a teeny lime green frog no bigger then my little finger nail. It pulled me to a magical place. I will never forget it.

I love it, I love so many flowers. I have gorgeous iris and roses in my yard. I love my peonies and lilies and coneflowers. I had gardenia’s in my bridal bouquet almost 52 years ago. I love to go hiking in the Rocky’s and see the wild flowers. I love magnolia blossoms but we don’t have them here in Colorado.

This is an amazingly beautiful shawl! 😻 I see making this and smiling through the memories of the women who passed the love of all flowers to me. This year I made a rememberance garden with peonys for my mom (pink were her favorite), Lily's for one grandmother, Dasies and red roses for the other. And a beautiful yellow rose that turns pink at the base as it ages for a favorite aunt. And around the bench are what we call Indian Blanket Flower. I have no idea where the seeds came from, but they grow wild in that spot. A beautiful dog I had used to always lay on that bench. As part Huskey she had a wild side so the flowers will be there as long as they want in her memory. My favorite flower is the Shooting Star ( Primula meadia). It is one of our springs first flowers; many times blooming along the melting snow. Swept back Deep purple petals with a small white stripe, & bright yellow at the center with a striking black stamin that points out like an arrow. To me it symbolizes new beginnings and hope.

While I love love Lavender, I have to say Lily of the Valley. Not only is the flower beautiful, the scent is amazing. The Lily of the valley carries many memories. Growing up, one section of our yard was covered in Lily of the Valley. I was always excited when they appeared, I would have to make a bouquet for mom. Mom also loved Lily of the Valley soaps. So now when I smell Lily of the Valley, I always think of my mom, spring and picking the flowers. ❤

If I had to pick one, which is really hard, it would have to be the Sunflower. I love sunflowers and how their head always turns towards the sun during the day, how majestic they look, towering over all other flowers. This shawl is stunning! Jane V’s designs are a pleasure to work with! I think that lilies are my favorite flower and second would be lily of the valley. Both have such strong scents that you know what they are and can find them quite easily. My mom used to take a lily and put it in a short flat vase, then she would surround it with large leaves from a tree. I was always in awe of this design, and thrilled that I got to help her create it. My mom has passed, so I don’t get to help her anymore, but my brother made me a watercolor of this floral arrangement and I have it displayed in my house in a place where I can see it almost all the time, but mostly when I think of her.

I love hydrangeas and lavender! It’s hard to pick just one flower. 😊 We have both flowers in our yard and I love to pick a few when they are in bloom and enjoy them in the house in a beautiful vase. The lavender smells so wonderful and I love the color! The hydrangeas are gorgeous with their perfectly round shape and the colors are different depending on where they grow on the bush. Also, they last a very long time in the vase.

This is absolutely gorgeous. I can never narrow down my favorite plant or flower, but I live in reclaimed swampland in a desert. We have a bird sanctuary on the way out of the neighborhood, and among the cattails and reeds, you can see spots of purple thistle flowers coming out of the water. When the ducks and geese are hanging around, you just have to pull over and try to find a patch of dry ground to sit on for a while.

I love flowers, they are so full of life and hopeful possibilities! Hibiscus, Plumeria, Jasmine, Magnolia, Crocosmia ........ the list goes on and on. They have taught me to slow down and take a moment to admire their beauty and accept the smells they have to offer. But there is one flower/plant that has a very special place in my heart, Daphne. 30 some years ago I was driving around on a gravel backroad for my job. Suddenly I slammed on my brakes! I had smelled a flower that instantly transported me back to my Grandpa (he's been gone for many, many years)! I knew that smell from a plant at his house. I slowly backed up until I found the flower. I took a good look at it and after work I set about trying to figure out what it was. Now, everytime I smell Daphne, I feel my Grandpa's arms around me.

I love when a design is so pretty it makes me go, "OOOOoooo!!!!" As always, you are lovely too. Now, I love most flowers, but I'd have to say that my favorite is the dahlia. I don't know why, they just draw me to them. Of course, it helps that it's the first flower I ever planted that didn't drop dead immediately and actually grew for me! LOL I love flowers that you find growing in the odd places. You come across them like, "Oh! What are you doing here? Aren't you pretty!"

My favorite flower is a dandelion. It’s so sunny and hardy, also useful and delicious. My second favorite are daisies, of all kinds. This shawl will be a challenge for me as I’m a beginner but determined to create it. I ordered yarn all in one color and want the stitches to shine.
