I just wanted to thank you for your videos. I did my very first set of cookies a couple days ago and after binge watching all your videos over the last few weeks I felt really comfortable doing it and they came out better than I had ever hoped.

I love your videos. I love how you take the time to explain everything in detail so it’s understandable. Your voice so calm and relaxing. Your inspiring and causes me to try these out. I did however try your other Easter deco and I was impressed. I’m very impress with your icing technique simple to remember and learn. So glad I stumbled across your videos. ❤

I have all of my supplies lined up and getting ready to cut out my cookies and bake them. I don't have alot of Easter cookie cutters, any ideas for square cookie designs? I'll be spending the bulk of my day watching your videos. Thanks again. Have a blessed day.🙂👍

How exciting! You can use the Easter designs I've done but just adapt them to the square!! I always try to use the shapes I have and usually can make it work 😊 so hopefully you can too!

That's so great, love your tutorials☺️ Can you tell me where do you have all your Icing during making cookies? On my table it's always a mess and I struggle with searching the right Icing😅
@LittleCookieCo9 ай бұрын
I always try to stay organized but it's chaos by the end haha! I usually have a few damp paper towels to my right (lined up in a line sort of) and have all of my bags (tips) inside the folded damp paper towels to keep the tips from crusting over. It also helps to wipe my scribe on the paper towel and I can squish down the tips on my flood bags if they start to leak a bit. I usually have a couple extra dry pieces too, to test my icing after I've cut holes in the bags, I always do a few lines on it to make sure I cut it big enough.

Great video! How thick do you cut your cookie dough? Cookies look quit thick, but could just be camera angle. Thanks for great instructions.
@LittleCookieCo Жыл бұрын
I usually roll them between 1/4 and 1/2 inch I do it by eye so sometimes some are thicker than others. I find when I do them too thin it's hard for me to pick them up and move them after I've iced them so thicker ones are easier to handle!

Do you know of something that would replicate royal icing, but would be less expensive, that could be used to practice piping?
@TinaRN Жыл бұрын
I read that you can use instant mashed potatoes to practice piping, you just have to get the consistency right. Confectioner’s sugar is probably less expensive than the potatoes. Our local dollar store sells a 2 lb bag of their store brand’s powdered sugar for $2.15. It’s really easy, and fairly cheap, to make a batch of extra stiff consistency, and thin with warm water to reach your piping consistencies, or flood consistency, as you need it for use. Just make sure you put a piece of plastic cling film directly on the top of the icing when you put in in your air tight storage container. This prevents the top of the icing from crusting during storage 😊
@gnomealone350 Жыл бұрын
@@TinaRN do you think meringue powder needs to be added for practice purposes? 🙏
@TinaRN Жыл бұрын
@@gnomealone350 it’d be a lot cheaper if you used egg whites. 3 egg whites to every pound of powdered sugar. ♥️

Do you have an Amazon affiliate link for cellophane bags or a heat sealer? I’m shopping for both and would love for you to benefit (even though it’s a small benefit!) Your work is beautiful and your generosity in sharing is amazing! ❤

Any suggestions for shaking hands I can't control it ..
@LittleCookieCo Жыл бұрын
Try holding the bag with one hand and putting a finger from your opposite hand against the bag or your palm your piping with. Make sure your elbow is against the table foe some stability. This usually helps. As long as you lift and pull the icing a touch it will straighten out your lines (think of it like pulling a string)!
