Learn How to Drape, Design, & Sew a Kimono Top | Angela Wolf

Learn how to drape and sew a kimono. This is simple style top and offers many options for fashion design. Start with 1 to 2 yards of fabric depending on the size and length of the top. The steps are as follows:
Cut down the center of the top and around the neckline. Pin the side seams leaving an opening for the arms and about 5 inches at the hemline. Stitch the side seams with fabric right sides together.
Fold under the center front 1/2" and press, then fold another 1/2" and press. Do the same for the entire outer edges of the fabric.
