What a fun quilt! Your block is so much more interesting than the original solid color block. Seems to me you could make this whole block using the two-at-a-time no waste flying geese blocks, 16 geese per block, plus some squares and rectangles of the background.
@MrsGraphiteGal Жыл бұрын
4 at a time is even faster. 5 1/4" square from background, 4 small squares from the accent, 2 7/8" . Much easier.

I think they already have a tutorial on the carpenters star using HST's. The problem with that is it alters the proportions. A true carpenters star is made using Y-seams so if you're not a fan, the other way might be better.

You may every quilt look so easy. I have watched you for years, and every quilt looks so easy! However, I wish you would give us the block size. Jenny, Making my day again! I am WONDERING, WHAT IF I used the leftover 10" squares for the outside border(whatever size it would be!). I have to calculate that out! This is SO GORGEOUS! I want to make it with the Robert Kaufman PINK LEMONADE layer cake! I have been loving that fabric for so long, and WHAT would I make with it? This is the perfect pattern! I just have to pick out 2 dark colors for the triangles! The amazing thing is that this uses only 1/2 of the layer cake!
