If you had to give ONE piece of advice to a new beatmaker (or suggest one synth/plugin), what would you say?
@vibev29483 жыл бұрын
One piece of advice I’d give is to not try to do too much. Keep it simple and just have fun. A plug-in I’d suggest using is Serato Sample. Really good plugin to flip samples/loops and make it your own. 🤙
@alexunderground8293 жыл бұрын
learn the basics how to mix/equalize very soon 👌 I think many starters come up with good ideas very quick. but they are stuck, because it doesn't sound right
@CineBrividoProduction3 жыл бұрын
One advice: use stock plugins until you have fully explored them then start buying other plugins. Also keep it real and make what you like not what is trending. (I apologize for my bad english) Peace 💯

I would say start learning how to play at least one melodic instrument ASAP. I’ve been making beats for four years already, and I just started playing piano and learning music theory about 2 months ago. Now, my melodies and my arrangement is 10x better than it used to be

Good advice. I used to clutter my beats up so much

Don’t worry if you don’t understand all the concepts. Eventually, you will get it if you really want to learn beat making.

You're the greatest dude. Rather than focus on the 'drag here, click there' approach you give more of an overview of the logic of what is really going on and this makes your lessons so immediately usable and flexible. Thx.

Thank you Shaun! That's exactly what my approach is. I want to teach from first principals so you can apply the underlying concepts no matter what you make

I've been making beats for almost two years, so I'm not a begginer, but I watched the tutorial and I have to say this is pretty good. The editing is good, you get straight to the point and show some pretty good techniques to improve your sound. I would show this tutorial to someone who wants to get into music production or wants to improve.
