Yum! I had this last year when it was offered as a "prato do dia" at one of my favorite restaurants in Funchal and since moving here early last month I've been back several times hoping they offer it again. But with at least 365 or maybe even 1000 ways to cook bacalhau in Portugal overall and presumably in Madeira too, I haven't caught another day Bacalhau com Natas has been on offer. 😞 I'll definitely be trying your recipe soon. 🙂 Thanks for the tips on deboning cod. Thanks for your comment. When you try this recipe, I highly recommend incorporating the Bechamel sauce (I didn't). It makes a world of a difference adding a smoother texture and richer flavour. Let me know how you make out with it. 🥰😋
