Hey Mr. Rudolph, love your instructions & videos; I'm taking an upholstery class right now too and only worked on house furniture but my end goal is to reupholster my chevy truck dash, door panels and bucket seats in vinyl. Could you add some discussion on material selections especially vinyl and quality types & vendors? Any help in this area will greatly reduce my reworks & wastage as I learn and work toward a custom interior. Also would really love to stack up an applique of my college mascot on the center backs of the high back buckets. All ideas would be great.

Juki’s are great machines! I have an old straight stitch and a newer 1541S. I know some Jukis are made in China but some are still made in Japan. The extra price is worth it to me but not sure about other’s experience. The Juki was a great improvement in feel and capacity over the popular used Consew and vintage Singer W111 walking foot machines IMO. The confidence alone is worth it.
