So if I understand correctly, the tips can be summarized as: - Snap with a certain level of uncertainty. Keep in mind that your opponent is as uncertain as you are. - When you try out a new deck, think about what the best thing you can do with it each turn. If it's favorable, go for the snap - In conquest, the first 4 rounds are mostly for learning opponent's deck. On round 1, play as conservatively as possible. - When you are ahead, be a bit aggressive when it comes to snapping, don't be laid back. - In a favored match-up, you can be passive as you win normally anyways. In a bad match-up, snap when you see a combo that can beat them and it's early game, or when you know your opponent didn't get the card that can destroy you - It is alright to use the entire turn and snap at the final moments. The game gave you all that time and you have every right to use it. Think your turn through, don't rush it, don't become impatient. - Don't let your fear takes over. You're as good as whoever you're facing, don't be afraid to snap when the game favors you. And do retreat when it does not I hope these are precise. If its wrong do correct me.

Excellent, just what I needed! I never ever snap! I stay in when they snap or retreat but never do it myself! I'm hitting infinite every season but never get my infinity avatar because I'm just too passive and scared! But you're right, it's the same, snapping here I come! 😅

Same for me, played infinity tickets twice and lost both in round 7/8. Both I could have won if I snapped properly. That put me off playing Infinity tickets.

How many games/hours do you think you put in to get to infinite? I rarely snap, play 1hr+ a day and 75 is my highest level.
@victoria8378
@victoria8378 Жыл бұрын
@@andrewbaker285 i do it in a few bursts. So a couple hours to get to 83, then another session of 2 hours or so to get to 93 then usually an hour on another day to get to 100. Usually within the first 4 or 5 days it's easiest and then I focus on conquest after that. I started playing April and finished in 70s my first season but every season since then I've hit infinite. If you're getting to the 70s that's great, you're basically nearly there tbh. It won't take much, just time your sessions well, minimise distractions and if you feel tilt creeping in after a few losses step away and do something else or move to proving grounds to play out your tilt or bad luck!

@@victoria8378Thanks for the encouragement but I've been playing since December and only last 2 seasons got above 60. I assume my collection level (5500) means I get matched against higher level of players or bots more often. But I've given up trying to get infinite, would like the 500 gold at 90 though. Interesting to find out how long people take to get to infinite each month.

@@andrewbaker285 what kinda deck do you normally play? I tend to play my fun experimenty stuff in conquest and after hitting infinite, and tend to use a deck I'm really really familiar with on ladder with lots of tech that can respond against a variety of opponents. I'm S3 complete but I don't know how much that affects MMR if at all. Maybe the time of day can affect number of bots though!

This is absolutely something I need to accept. I'm someone who doesn't EVER snap. My win rate is great but my cube rate is trash. I play most games out unless I know I cannot win. I snap back on people sometimes but never initiate a snapping situation. I absolutely need to start snapping when I have my best play line like you said. I'm super averse to gambling in real life, and sadly rather risk averse in general lol. It is a problem.

Thanks for this video! I've been passively snapping in ladder because I approached it like conquest I guess, which is easier for me since you can get a cheap/free read on the opponent in the first few rounds. I changed my play strategy, and started to rise again!

@LegendWolfA
@LegendWolfA Жыл бұрын
I'd say turn 2 onwards is best for snapping. Snapping turn 1 might be too risky because you still know nothing, you don't know your opponent, you don't know the locations, you don't know the draws. Even for aggro decks like destroy it's not a bad idea to hold on till at least turn 2

Around the 13-16 minute spot I loved the poker analogy. Big difference between playing aggressive and reckless. In holdem, playing QQ aggressive preflop is smart. You can still pick up reads information to get out early end game if you are beat. Great analogy regarding making your hands much more cube profitable. Thank you for this video!

A few questions: What is the snapping behavior of bots? If you think they might leave on turn 6, do you snap? What is the scenario of snapping on 5? some people snap back, does that mean I should leave if I'm not 100% of my snap or hand? Thanks

Not gonna lie, I really think they should've structured their thoughts before doing this. But other than that, it was fine for newer or lower players. Would've liked if there was some more structured high level, so advanced players could maybe learn a trick or two as well.

@@peacefulseaplays For instance, optimal snapping is knowing exactly what the opponent can play, and then capitalizing on it. So I would maybe try to steer the conversation into deducing the decks, etc. Because you guys talk a lot about being 'an aggressive' snapper. But just as with poker, any sort of "strategy" subpar to "optimal play". Where the betting is done mathematically, and not by feeling.

For some players, maybe it is because they are learning the skills Lamby is talking about. Proving Grounds is not just about quick games to get Silver Tickets. It is about Proving your deck and skills. So don’t assume the other player is roping for no good reason.

Some constructive criticism: best player in Snap paired with worst content delivery. Why??? You are under-leveraging your skills and knowledge with this low production quality format! There’s a bunch of great nuggets that could be broken out into its own videos - for better retention and more views. It may be easier to make content this way but you’re leaving monetization on the table.
