Complaining about 3rd Strike Chun-Li or Brood War Reavers are overpowered has no effect on the game; complaining about Arishem can actually effect the game (and in a way that could really help the player if they don't have the card). Begging for nerfs is literally correct gameplay for patch games - the purpose of a system is what it does.

I played some zoo this weekend to knock out the Gilgamesh quest and it is not looking pretty. Your all stats deck just can't keep up with multi-Blob action and zoo doesn't seem to be able to afford a Shang-Chi. Tried playing with Shadow King but that just makes for a really awkward turn 6 as you can't drop your Gilgamesh behind it.

Arishem has breathed a lot of life into the game. I've been playing more this week than I have all year

Cassandra Nova is gonna have a big impact on Arishem, it’ll be a second copy of Darkhawk that’s much easier to throw into decks

I play Alioth in Arishem, one result of that is you can’t hide your Darkhawk behind priority He’s a catch-all tech card against combo decks that would beat you on power and a cube stealer that converts a good number of otherwise guaranteed losses into wins, especially after the buff

I played zoo with DH and Mystique Cosmo shoved in it when ARI dropped. Climbed with it because ARI players see zoo and don’t think DH. The zoo was filler and a smoke screen

To put Arishem’s advantage in it’s simplest form is against a non-Arishem deck you have an advantage on turn 1 of +1 energy a turn. I can’t think of another card that gives you a turn 1 advantage of that magnitude just by being in your deck. Having 1 more energy a turn is not to be underestimated.

Why would they stay? They play a turn five randomly generated magneto to move my Cosmo that I played DH behind that turn. Stuff like that. Fist Bump not even mad congrats

I got arishem but I don’t have blob so I didn’t even consider playing him when trying to hit infinite. It’s just unfair if you’re trying to play a normal game of snap with any of the decks that were good last meta except probably Ravona. But instead of calling for a nerf I just waited for some ideas on what can beat him besides the card darkhawk and I ended up playing a phoenix force Loki deck with darkhawk and taskmaster. It wasn’t an auto win but I always felt ok into arishem unless my draw was terrible. And I did eventually start seeing regular decks and get disappointed cause my darkhawk wasn’t an auto win. I doubt he’ll need a nerf I do think maybe 5e blob/mystique/rogue/absorbing man interactions may get changed but arishem seems fine in my opinion. Good enough that you need to plan for it but if you do there are very simple ways to beat it. Snappin and retreating do become harder but you just have to accept that a good snap or stay can be ruined by RNG

I won an arishem mirror once cuz I played Jean Grey into Big House but my hand was all 4-6 costs so I could play into the other 2 locations and won

I genuinely drew Arishem on turn 6 once, it was the only card in my hand staring down a 30 power Darkhawk and I went "Snap and pretend its Shang Chi" and I did that and they left. I was so surprised. It was so funny😂😂😂

Snap is a lot like poker. Arishem basically says “play poker blindfolded”. Possibly the worst meta in the history of this game and the death of Snap as a CCG if it stays as it is.

I grew to appreciate this channel and I obviously enjoy playing the game. So much so that when I wake up all I could think is what deck should I be playing, or how can I replace Nocturne or Cannonball on some decks I see. Don't get me wrong I still put down my phone to spend time with my kids and wife, but during those moments I sometimes find myself counting the minutes when I could play again. Unknowingly I've grown too attached to this game that even when I'm not playing, the content I consume still revolves around it such as watching creators on youtube/twitch, following threads on reddit/discord. I would say I got addicted with the game. The good news is that there is someone whose love for me is even greater than my addiction - Jesus Christ. He reminded me that He died so I may live a life free from any poison of this world, that I have better things to do in my life than spending my brain power on a game that doesnt care about me whether I die today or not. That He as our shepherd , He provides us all we need, and lets us rest on green pasture (Psalms 23:1-3). My prayer goes to anyone who is going through the same struggles that I had, those that recognize the void in our hearts that we try to fill in with games, social media, digital content; those who chase the next dopamine hit. May you hear Jesus our saviour, calling you back to him. Because in Him we can find joy that is complete and overflowing (John 15:11)

The solution to High Evo is fix the vanilla cards to accurately reflect the base power at each of the energy levels. The fact there are 1/2 2/3 3/5 4/6 5/9 6/12 with upside means the vanilla cards are too weak. I think all the cards could take a point of power.

Activate definitely sounds like an interesting new mechanic. Km's Galactus idea sounds like it's definitely worth at least trying 😅 I also wonder if activate suggests the option to re activate multiple times

Activate theory; Perhaps they will add a new ‘game phase’ be it before or after the turn plays out. And both players will have the option to Activate during this game period each turn. This would alleviate the 6cost card issue by having the ability to activate in the same turn they were played. Just what came to mind whilst pondering. Love the chats Boys cheers.

Another couple questions we need answered about activate are, 1) Are they coded as On-Reveals so Cosmo/Locations would nullify them? 2) If not, will anything get a text update to be able to interact with Activate abilities? Otherwise there is no way to directly counter Activate abilities which could be a problem.

I love the idea of Evo adding plus one power for each evolved card in play. I also think they should revert the nerfs to Wasp, Thing and Cyclops. Lastly they should more cards that add to the genre i.e. no powers.

Maybe “Activate” is like an on-reveal that triggers when a condition is met? So you play on top of the activate card and something happens

Tried High EVO still didn’t want to play the card EVO. I like EVO at 4/7 and Wasp needs to hit 2 targets to reliably get Abom out. That should be enough I’d rather have that than 5/10 Abom

I played Phastos in my Thanos deck because the Stones give you extra draws. Instead of 3 cards from Phastos buff you can be lucky and draw like 7 I was extremely lucky in my first 7 games I had Phastos on turn 3 like five times but he felt decent in that deck. Slamming a 4/6 Kazaar into a 2/11 Mockingbird was fun lol

I agree with your take on High Evo. I was one of the players to get him on day one with the tokens I earned over a month in anticipation.... I haven't played him as much as I wanted to because at first it was just too mirror matchy. It was a pain. So I played anti-Evo decks. Then overtime I just preferred other stuff. Anytime I try him now, it just doesn't compete. Red Hulk IS A PROBLEM! No card should be able to beat Evo Hulk when Evo Hulk takes a much bigger sacrifice. Why does Red Hulk gain more power when it doesn't require an enabler card? In my opinion, Red Hulk should be a non-ability card, that is honestly just 6/13. It doesn't grow, but it starts off better than the base Hulk. OR it could be a 6/9 and only gain 1 power per turn. After that they need to revert the High Evo card changes, like Wasp and Thing. And give High Even a 7 power statline. If people want to counter High Evo, they can use Luke Cage.

I don't see Move on the same level as Hela in terms of being uninteractable by opposing players. Cause you can interact with Move. It's called Mill decks. They have multiple opportunities to yoink your combo cards. And like Lamby said, you need your combo cards or else you just crumble. Yondu sniping a Ghost Spider or Torch, Cable yoinking literally any of your move cards, Gladiator pulling and popping a move card, Doc Oc just pulling your combo pieces onto the board at random and flooding a lane that is then just sniped by Shadow-King if any of those cards are boosted. If you're wild you can Spider-Ham some of their combo pieces straight outta the hand. Feel like Junk decks can probably get in Move's way too. Sure you can bounce them off the board, but do you really want to do that?

Come on km. You have played enough card games. You can insert enough tech cards to draw as consistently as your opponent drawing darkhawk. The answer is 3 and assumes Arishem doesn't generate a duplicate. The issue is do any of us want to spend 3 slots to dedicated tech? Not if that tech doesn't hit enough other decks running around.

Luckly move decks are way more skillfull than hela decks so exept if they are gonna be really really good maybe they wont be too popular and so toxic (till september)
