Macro works as a kind of customerized Automator. Could you make an video on how to use Keynote macro? Hard to guess where you could be going wrong. Keep experimenting with it and try things to get the hang of it.

Not sure what you are asking. If you have a Keynote window open, then close it. Or just quit Keynote.

Keynote is a Mac (and iPhone and iPad) app. There is no Keynote for Windows. They can work with Keynote documents using the web app at iCloud.com, or you can export your Keynote document to a PowerPoint document if you use that app. But if you just want to show them them finished presentation, you have a lot of export and sharing options in Keynote that do that without them needing any app at all.

Not sure what you mean. If you are working on a file on a Flash drive it saves just like any other file.

I have three dots on a slide and don't know what I did to get them. I don't see a build anywhere. Also, I have evidently locked the slide because I can't make any changes...I try to select text and I make see the blue box around it but I get the "grabby" hand but nothing is happening. Not sure what you are experiencing, sorry. Try going through the tutorial from scratch to learn the basics and then return to your presentation after that. Or, start your presentation from scratch.

If you like PowerPoint, you can certainly stick with it. Works best when you have to collaborate with people on Windows. But Keynote is fun to use too. Maybe play around with it when you have the time.

I don't use PowerPoint. Can't tell you what an alternative would be -- maybe describe what you want to DO in Keynote and I can point you in the right direction.

@@macmost There're tons of options available there. In KZbin I found three interesting options: using Comic characters, setting a timer and using word clouds.

@@anindyabhattacharya4742 If you want to use "Comic characters" just change the font of the text you want to show like that. There is a clock option on the presentation screen. But I suppose you could use the new Clock app for a Timer if you needed that too. Nothing like Word Clouds, but you could use another app to create them and then bring in an image.

You can do whatever you want to each slide. Just add the things you want to your first slide.

@@macmost Thanks, I mean to ask how to change the THEME of the first slide. And keep the others basic. Do I have to start all over with a theme? If so, how would I change the others so they are baisc. There's a "theme" button in MS Word, I can't find one in keynote.

@@deecross5028 So you mean the entire theme? Not just the template for the slide, but use an entire different theme? You could do that with copy and paste. Start a new document with the theme you want, create the slide there, then copy and paste those elements across to the old document.

I did play around with Keynote and it doesn't look like it will just do one slide in one theme and the rest with no theme. I might try to put a photo as background in my first slide and keep the rest blank. Thanks again for all you're doing.
