You've made some really cool riffs. They help me develop some ideas I have lying around.

I always liked the sound that los lobos got on their telecasters.

I love 80's metal. Everything I write has a 80's metal or the 8's metal/rock love ballad style for the slower type songs.

Thank you so much, Steve, your videos have been a real light bulb moment for me. Do you have a similar video on turning licks into solos? Your content is great, thanks again for your work🤘😎🎸

I can come up with tons of riffs, but putting it together to create a song that works and sounds good, has been a very frustrating. Thing for me for years!!

The power chord +9 sounds real Screamo/Post-Hardcore. Gunna have to incorporate those for some pizazz. Cheers!

It seems like every riff I created over the years that is easy to play and sounded cool at the same time ended up being a Jimmy Page riff. I would hear the Led Zeppelin song on the radio for the first time two weeks after "creating" my cool riff, and be disappointed that it was not an original of mine. I would caution all of my fellow wannabe guitar heroes to not worry about writing the next "Sunshine Of Your Love" or "Smoke On The Water" and just record your effort, wait a day, and then listen to your riff with fresh ears. At that point, you should be able to determine if you can build a song around it or delete the track and start the process over with a different riff.

The truth about this part of being a songwriter is that while anyone technically can do it not everyone is good at it this is one of those things I think that comes natural to a good songwriter and really it all comes down to the ear of the player and the note choices this is what really separates Great guitarists from good

Hi Steve, Can you do a video on how to play Under The Sun by Black Sabbath please? In the same way Tony plays it.
