These lessons are based from the Minna No Nihongo (初級) Beginner textbooks. But even if you don’t have the textbooks, you can still follow along the lessons by just watching the video.
I'm currently living in Japan and I use Japanese at work and daily life. I’m sharing what I’ve learned from my language school and through self-study. I'm not a native Japanese speaker nor am I a licensed Japanese language teacher. I’ve passed the JLPT N3 exam and am planning to take the JLPT N2 test in the future. So if you find any mistakes, feel free to let know so that we can all learn together. Thank you!

Aahhh! At last I understand why I keep mishearing the GA sound! At 7'27" you explain that it can be pronounced as NA - which is what I often hear and didn't understand. As if Japanese wasn't difficult enough, they have multiple ways of pronouncing it!!!! Thank you for explaining this. It's such a small, simple point that other teachers don't bother explaining it, and yet it is crucial when listening. Finally ....!

My opinion, this is another proof that foreigners can explain language lessons in more organized way. I can follow her lessons well and improve my understanding in Japanese language system. I once followed a basic class by native speaker, I got dizzy and puzzled by what the native speaker said already. Probably native speaker should teach the conversation part later on after a student understand the language system/grammar development. Same thing happened when I had learned French in the past.
