Donna, I just love your tutorials! Thank you for picking this gorgeous quilt design by Doug Lecko. As soon as I saw the picture on the Hidden Terrace pattern I got excited. I've been looking for a quilt pattern design that would look perfect made up as a bedspread. I am so glad you choose the jelly roll strips called "Clover Blossom Farm," the colours are beautiful and prints perfectly coordinated. My 32 year old son has a king size bed. His birthday is in September. After watching you put this quilt together I knew that, even a beginner like me, will be able to create this gorgeous quilt. I love your style of teaching. You are so organized. Every stage of making a quilt is discussed, demonstrated, and completed in a manner that you accomplish without confusion or distress. In fact, your voice is always so enthusiastic, encouraging and with each completed new step, you take time to enjoy that finished block (etc.). I love the fact that you never forget to emphasize the little details that work together to perfect the appearance of each piece created and set the sewist up for easily accomplishing those construction aspects (such as perfectly aligned intersections and matching designs) coalesce to produce a professional outcome I am sure every Pattern Designer hopes that their artwork will be purchased by those who find joy in their creation and will follow the instructions with precision to ensure that the resulting quilt will be as beautiful as their original and bring the happiness intended. I hope every fabric creator and pattern designer has the opportunity to watch and listen to your tutorials. You treat their creations with love and respect and after listening to your tutorials they will be assured that their hopes for these beautiful products will be realized. I love the quilts that you make and for every one there is a perfect person who needs to have it made for them alone. Thank you Donna for helping me bring the cherished tradition that lived in my family while my Grandmother, Mother, and her Sisters were alive. That fabric and pattern turned into another beautiful quilt top. However, I think I would have used the thread that was the same as the accent color in the quilt top. I do tend to over do things. I just happen to like that dark wine color. It will be perfect when you do it your way. Have a wonderful and safe vacation.
