I don't vibe with HP. I would love to, but there's a shadow there that I need to deal with. I don't see her as an aspect of my own inner knowing but as an external figure. I think I view her as my mom, the manipulative "cult leader of one", who holds all the secrets, all the keys, and gives breadcrumbs if and when I behave the way she wants me to. It took me decades to realize this and I'm on my way to trusting myself above her as my inner authority. But when I first met HP I couldn't help but see myself staring in the face of the emotionally unavailable woman in whose eyes I was perpetually unworthy to receive any guidance. Obvs I need to do a lot of archetypal work with this one, learning to embody her energy and seeing the guidance as coming from within. Right now I'm hiding behind her curtain, reading all the damn books because I don't trust her, nor myself for answers. Well, no one said that knowing the path was going to equal walking the path 😉. Thank for this series, I love your energy so much ❤

I can't stress enough how incredible you are at explaining. I read several books on tarot and still couldn't figure out how to READ. They tell you meanings, but they make it all jumbled, not specifying what is light and what is shadow, so I was basically clueless as to how to read the card. They also often use weird language and don't give practical examples like you do. Often there is bias around certain cards to the explanation is overly positive or negative. I mean, I just couldn't get with it and I'd always end up feeling stupid for not being able to understand. But with you, I watch this video once and I actually feel like I have just MET the card. It's amazing. It's finally clicking and I feel like I understand the card enough to add personal interpretations. All I can say is that I can't wait for the whole series to be out. I hope it won't take several years to complete! 😅 Thank you!!!

I meet so many Tarot students who tell me they can't get along with books, they feel stupid, they feel like they're missing something etcetera. Tarot is such a warm and friendly tool, but for many people it needs to be broken down in a warm and friendly way in order for them to really extract its benefits. ❤ I know it sounds extreme, but knowing that I have done that for people who were struggling with other resources means I can die happy. 🥲 Thanks for watching.

Sometimes my own inner knowing and HP moments really stand in stark and irreconcilable contrast with things people are telling me about Themselves, and it puts me in a really uncomfortable situation of having to decide if 1. I am going to give the person the benefit of a doubt , knowing I am fallible and sometimes my assumptions, traumas, etc. are telling stories... 2. I'm going to trust my insights, understand it may be truth but not the whole truth and let deeper things that reconcile come to light... 3. I'm going to decide that the other person is lying (to me or themself) and take my energy and focus elsewhere. It's really interpersonal difficult sometimes when you know you, yourself are very highly intuitive and emotionally astute and that has served you very well in your life, but at the same time you know that sometimes people don't want to see things about themselves you see and it can be rude and unwanted to tell them, and it can be conceited and unhelpfully "mind-read-y" in a guessing sense to push it... and at the same time you suffer from gaslighting trauma both from caregivers and personal relationships and that can make you hard see-saw back and forth between "Maybe its really nothing..." and "I KNOW what I know." At that point, I think the HP aspect needs the help of a strategizer aspect to do some calculation on potential internal and interpersonal fallout from deciding any of the different ways to take the info the HP is receiving.

I have been doing a study on the astrological aspects of tarot using keywords from a few sources. One of the words I use with the HP is Perception. I think that 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 are in some kind of poly relationship and I like bringing those cards out of a deck and making pictures and stories with them in different combinations. I'm on the Ace spectrum, so it's more a QPC relationship to me.

Really great exploration of the High Priestess. Easily one of my favorite cards. Always get a good spiritual boost when I draw upon her. Lao Tze in the Tao Te Ching says to value, embrace, and honor the feminine aspect as an essential aspect of the Way; her fecundity promotes balance, harmony, and the cultivation of inner virtues.

I find it interesting that the moon is at her feet. Does the moon just represent an energy? Or a companion to the priestess? It's an elegant crescent, but i don't think the artist just put it there just for beauty. TORA written across the parchment would suggest legalism (but it makes me think of her as a certain celeb, or rather a favorite high profile figure). Laws of the universe?

33:56 I think of the FOOL and the MAGICIAN as two parts of the self. The Fool is the “soul” or the un-incarnated part and the Magician is the body- the manifest self who now has tools with which to create (and to direct the spiritual in the manifest world) The high priestess I see as the wise, mystical grandma the “elder” but also… we all come through our grandmother, and she is the gate keeper and the gate between the spiritual and the manifest. (Since our mother has all of her egg cells when she she is within HER mother’s body… the HP is the maternal grandmother) and also she is direct experience with no translation into words (vs the high priest/hierophant who is a mediator beteeen the spirit and manifest world- he puts things in words and laws and is a go between but the HP stands at the door and determines if you get to go in for the EXPERIENCE for which no words really suffice. The Hierophant on the other hand… he makes it more manageable and more linear, something you can pass down, share… they are two different kinds of understanding, which are both valuable but so very different.

I'm loving this series so far! Thank you for sharing with us. I've seen the High Priestess come up in a relationship reading for a woman who was not speaking her mind. Not communicating with her partner to resolve issues they were having. Shadow side - not speaking your truth. not listening to yourself, not working to use insights you're being given. There's something here in shadow where she becomes a mute. Have you seen this?

I love that! The Hierophant is statistically one of the least liked cards. Certainly many of my students have had issues with it that we've worked through together. I personally love him. 💗🌟

yeah, for me the high priestess is about secrets and what's hidden. so, i cannot say that (even though i've been witching since 1984) i don't associate that card with "witchyness" and i'm never all that happy to see the card. this does not mean that i am not interested in how others see this (or any) card as we all can (and do) learn from each other.
