Great video but "WORD OF CAUTION" I am an American physician who owns a farm outside of Boquete. Please consider getting Panamanian Major Medical insurance. You can get insurance very reasonably in Panama and nobody knows what the future holds. BTW, Punta Pacifica Hospital in Panama City is great. It is affiliated with Johns Hopkins Medical School in USA. I recommend going there for major health issues.Stay well!

Does not matter how fast the internet is if you have no power living in the countryside. Many people forget that Panama is in Central America. Power outages are very common here. Further away from the big cities like Panama City and David you will experience power outages more regularly. For hours! Longest I had to live with was 13 hours in the Las Tablas area. And if there is no power- there is no water! Yes. 1st time in my life I started to buy this big water bottles Americans are use to. And if there is no power for longer than 4 hours you lose cellphone service because the towers run on battery. If you can live with this- welcome to Panama!

You do not have to own a car. If you live close to town, you can walk to grocery stores and restaurants. In Panama City is is VERY EASY to live anywhere in the City with no car.

Also its my understanding that as long as you are under 70ish, you should be able to get an HMO plan associated with a hospital there? And i assume once you have it, they wont cancel it due to aging? Thanks for these amazeball videos

Jennifer Campbell..Palo Seco, which used to be located on the pacific side, in the canal zone territory was the only leper colony in Panama... it's been closed for almost 50 years... I'm sure you know, that there is a cure for this disease already..
