@@rayleigh2086 Hi! :) I'm really pleased to say that through this tutorial, Chris Heria's tutorial, and a few others, I learned the handstand several months ago. Now I'm improving and getting more and more comfortable with it. My time record for a handstand has been 36 seconds!
@rayleigh20863 жыл бұрын
@@HobbitNinjaWizard I've been practicing for only couple of days until Ramadan came and I had to stop for a month. I was and still am confused that if I should learn handstand on paralletes or only hands. Some say paralletes are easier. I can do 10 clean pike pushups(floor*) and can do a 90° hold on parallete bars for about 15 seconds. So, how would you suggest me to start practicing for the handstand? Bars or palms ? Frog to handstand or kickup to handstand? Help a beginner out tysm
@HobbitNinjaWizard3 жыл бұрын
@@rayleigh2086 You've totally got the strength for a handstand if you can do pike pushups and the 90 degree hold! :D I would definitely suggest starting just on your hands, because you can do that anywhere. And I would also suggest learning the basic kick up first onto a wall to get started. After you've learned the basic handstand on only hands with the kick up and you can balance for several seconds, then you can progress into the frog to handstand and learning it on paralletes. Hopefully this helps! :)

How long handstand Holding is needed for this
@CalisthenicsFamily2 жыл бұрын
If you can hold a handstand consistently for 5 seconds it should be enough to balance once you get to the handstand. The most important part is the transition to the handstand and the strength in the shoulders and arms!

@investwave72622 жыл бұрын
I can hold the frogstand for about 50 seconds and when I straight up the elbows I can still hold it for a second but when I'm trying to push my legs up I'm heading straight into the floor. Good that I've put the pillow. Do you think that I need more strength or it's a matter of practice?
@CalisthenicsFamily2 жыл бұрын
Probably both, when you push you need the strength in a different angle which is less trained which makes it harder. If you can do a handstand, then handstand to frogstand negatives are a really good way to gain that strength!
