Yes! You might have to adjust the sc rows for the fluffy yarn

I have a problem when I am crocheting little whale because , little whale has a hilly top after I completed crocheting her , instead of yours which is flat and rounded. Why is it so 😢 ? Hi! It might be the tension! Sometimes we pull our yarn too tight so our stitches bend and kinda “done.” If you add extra stuffing in, it might fix the problem!

Instead of doing a normal decrease could you do an invisible decrease instead? Or is that not the same thing?

You can! It’s a different stitch but looks a tiny bit different it works though!
